I used Hydro Solution, and the installation was fine. They were professional and courteous.

However, after three years, it broke. I called Hydro Solution on a Saturday to tell them. They called me back and said they would have someone come back to fix the problem. I explained that it wasn't urgent and that they could come another day since it was barely leaking. The technician who came to do the repair called me, and I also asked him to come another day, but he said no, he could come without any problem. They came and repaired it professionally once again.

However, I received a bill for 3 hours of work when it only took 20 minutes to change the part. They said that since they came on a Saturday, they charged a minimum of 3 hours. I was never informed of this, and I even told them twice not to come on weekends.

What I realized later is that with Hydro Solution, when the water heater is rented, the labor is guaranteed. But mine is purchased, so there's no labor included. A great way to charge for 3 hours of work for 20-minute jobs.

He told Hydro Solution it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to travel from Jonquière to Falardeau... I do that 10 times a week. Maximum 45 minutes.

Plus, the water heater is still leaking, so $350 for a $20 part that's no better than the first one.

Be careful and don't get ripped off.
