I asked him to identify the sewer line. He definitely didn't use the detection mode for that. Instead, obviously, he put his detector in metal detection mode to locate the copper water main. The sewer line wasn't running in the same dire…

I asked him to identify the sewer line.

He definitely didn't use the detection mode for that.

Instead, obviously, he put his detector in metal detection mode to locate the copper water main.

The sewer line wasn't running in the same direction.

So I dug in the wrong place, built a retaining wall on the wrong side, and destroyed the concrete base of the stairs for nothing.

In short, I paid for a service he didn't provide. In fact, he caused me harm and did nothing to help.

I should have rented the equipment or called another plumber.
