They do a great job maintaining my pool. The pricing is fair and I am very pleased with their service. Thank you Aqua Tech!
I scheduled pool opening/closing this year, the timer and float also needed repairs. Frankie, the pool technician did a great job and was very efficient.
This feedback was last year read this then check the updated one if you love and respect yourself and your hard earned money.5 STAR REVIEW (LAST YEAR)I hired Aqua Techs to resurface my 20–30-year-old fiberglass pool after talking to several companies in and out of Albuquerque. Dominic, the owner, was open to questions and explained the difference between regular paint vs. eco finish, which they use.The process was supposed to take 3 weeks but was delayed due to cracks in the return pipes. Aqua Techs handled the repair quickly and priced it fairly. Though the company is very busy, Dominic kept in touch and gave clear dates when the team would come—and they always showed up early, even while I was still asleep.I was skeptical at first, but I have to give credit to the crew. They paid attention to the smallest details. Watching from inside my house, I noticed them fixing things no one else would have. I’ve researched pools for a long time and can say they weren’t just doing a surface-level job—they took it seriously. From my experience, they finish what they start and avoid leaving loose ends. 5 stars for service and communication. Highly recommended.UPDATED1 STAR REVIEW AFTER A YEAR -I’m writing this updated review after one full year of dealing with Aqua Techs Pools and Spas—and unfortunately, my experience has gone from hopeful to incredibly frustrating. I originally left them a glowing 5-star review, but after spending over $25,000 for a full pool resurface, new skimmer, and new heater, I can confidently say: I would not recommend this company. When they resurfaced my pool, they said the existing skimmer pipe passed the pressure test, so no replacement was needed. But as soon as they finished the project and filled the pool, bubbles were coming out of the return line—a clear sign of air getting into the system. The owner brushed it off and blamed the pump or filter instead of taking real responsibility.I also noticed a visible gap in the skimmer, and when I brought it up, the owner’s solution was: “Just don’t fill the pool all the way.” After spending $25k, I’m being told not to use my pool properly? Here’s the truth: the bubble issue never went away. I only used the pool maybe 2 or 3 times out of frustration, and then I shut it down, too busy with my own businesses to keep chasing issues they should have handled. This year, I decided to get a second opinion. A professional plumbing company inspected the skimmer line and confirmed a leak in the same pipe Aqua Techs said was fine. When I called the owner, he claimed again that it passed testing last year and that I was present. I asked him—“Am I the expert here? How am I supposed to verify your pressure test?”I paid out-of-pocket again to have the skimmer line properly replaced—something that should’ve been done from day one.And now, it’s not over. The brand-new heater they installed is leaking heavily. Their tech said it’s the heat exchanger and—surprise—there’s no warranty. They offered to sell me another heater or replace the exchanger at more cost.?? The Bottom Line:Poor accountabilityWeak follow-upNo ownership of problemsMore money out of my pocket than ever expectedIf you're considering a major pool project, please get multiple quotes, ask detailed questions about warranties, and don’t be swayed by charm alone. I'm posting photos from mid-June 2025 so you can see what I’m dealing with—while I should be relaxing in a pool I paid good money to be running in may 2024You deserve better.
Thanks to Dominic and his amazing team they have made our community so much more beautiful! Aqua tech team completed a project in the pool area here at Wyoming Place Apartments! The communication and work was beyond amazing! We get so many compliments on the pool area! Thank you again for everything! ???? Highly Recommend!
My 40-year old Anthony Pool needed a major overhaul (New Deck, Replastering, Tiles, and Automatic pool cover). I looked around for bids around Albuquerque, and no one could beat Dominic and his team for this project. Some came in way too high and others declined to take on such a major project. It took a few months to finish this project but it wasn't Dominic's fault. Albuquerque experienced one of the hottest weather in history for the Spring/Summer, and Pool cement/plaster cannot be poured when it is either too hot or too cold. The project was finally finished when the weather cooled off in October, I have a brand-new rebuilt pool with no issues, and attached are the before and after photos.Keep up the great job you are doing Aqua Techs and I'm a satisfied customer.
