Bought a brand new spa, set it up and it had a small leak from a light. Getting manufacturer to fix was a nightmare and I decided to call Scott at AK Spa Repair to see if he could just fix it for me. Scott answered my questions, kept me informed and got my spa back in perfect working order ASAP. Not only did he fix it and fix it fast, but he charged me a very reasonable rate, invoiced me by email and had an easy portal to pay for his services write from the invoice email, making it a breeze to square up with him. Couldn't be happier with his services, his demeanor and his prices.
We've had our tub for about 5 years and we've dealt with a number of repair services and I have to say that Scott is one of the best. He's a plumber by trade and knows way around tubs. Furthermore, his pricing is very fair and he's professional. I highly recommend him.
Scott is awesome! I have a Hot Springs spa that I purchased from Waterworks (my second tub from them) that developed a leak shortly after the warranty period ended. That was back in May. They couldn't find it, so wanted to hire a crane to lift it off my deck, then work on it in their shop for a few weeks, which would include digging out the foam insulation around the tubing. Was on their waitlist forever, but not moving much. Tub has been empty since May, couldn't use it all summer long.Called Scott in Sept as the temperatures started to drop, and he was very responsive, discovered a cracked jet, ordered it, and came back to install it. Only after confirming that this fixed the leak did he send me a bill, and it was way less than I had expected. Filled, hot, and functional again 2 days before the big early snowfall! Thanks, Scott, excellent job. I'll be calling you first for anything spa related in the future. I'm done with those other guys!
Scott is amazing. The sort of professional I doubted I'd ever find in this town any longer: an honest, responsive service technician with problem-solving ability, initiative and a solid work ethic. Scott took my call on a Saturday afternoon. He was at my house the next day - a Sunday. A Sunday in January with sub-zero temperatures. Within two hours, Scott thawed my tub plumbing and quickly identified and repaired a problem that another Anchorage retail service had misdiagnosed -- and actually had made worse. I watched Scott work. No BS. No time-wasting. He arrived on-site with all the tools and equipment he needed. Did I mention, this was January? Below zero. Didn't faze Scott. He methodically and effectively thawed tub plumbing by hand, and took me through his next steps. When I realized that he intended to finish the work in one trip, I asked him, "Wait. You are talking like you are going to fix this today...?" And he said, "Yeah. That's my plan... That's the objective." I was amazed. From previous, repeated service calls with another service, that sort of initiative was not what I'd anticipated. Scott then quickly replaced a failed pump - which the other service had totally missed -- or ignored, I'm not sure which -- despite three expensive house calls. Bottom line: Scott is skilled, knowledgeable and totally professional. I rarely post reviews like this. But Scott earned the highest possible reference from me.
Scott was able to fix the heating element in my old Coleman hot tub in a single visit and proved to be an honest and experienced repairman! He was good at communicating when he would be able to come over, which was pretty much right away, and he didn’t try to sell me any unnecessary repairs. His bill came in far below the other guys. I highly recommend saving his number to your phone!
