Highly recommend!We recently worked with YR Pools and Construction to build a pool in our backyard, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience.Our yard presented a unique challenge due to a complex hill with varying grades, so we needed a builder who could handle it properly as retention of the hill was involved.We were referred to YR Pools and Construction through friends who had already built a beautiful pool with them, and after meeting with Will, the project manager, we knew we had found the right team.From the very start, Will went above and beyond to ensure we understood every step of the process. Out of the 5 or so companies we interviewed, Will was the only one who took the time to truly listen to our needs and provide thoughtful suggestions and guidance. His expertise, advice and attention to detail made a huge difference, especially with our challenging yard. We could tell that he genuinely cared about getting it right, and that level of commitment was something we didn’t find with other builders. He truly is a huge asset to the YR team. The entire construction team was professional, timely, and communicative, and they made sure everything was completed exactly as promised.Construction of a project this size is never straightforward, so do expect the odd hiccup along the way, but the team always made it right and had a solution in place for any roadblocks that we met. Our pool looks amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. All contractors are great when things go as planned. But what about when things go wrong? Half way through our project we found a design error (YR was not our designer). YR halted the project and quickly found a solution at minimal cost and minimal downtime. Our backyard looks great!
Outstanding craftsmanship and customer service from start to finish.YR Pools and Construction recently completed a demo and replacement of our front steps along with a new railing installation (mid-May to mid-June 2025), and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation through project completion, the experience was collaborative, transparent, and professional.Will Joki led the project and was exceptional to work with. He was always accessible by cell or email, making communication effortless throughout the process. Will took the time to share his opinions and stories that really helped guide our decisions on the build and materials, all while respecting our budget. His personable approach made what could have been a stressful project feel easy and enjoyable.The quality of craftsmanship was impressive. Our mason, Chance, was incredibly skillful and clearly took pride in his work—you could tell he genuinely wanted the end result to be something he’d be happy with, and that dedication shows in the final product.The project took about a month to complete, primarily due to inclement weather, but the team kept us informed every step of the way. We’re already looking forward to our next project with YR Pools and Construction. Highly recommended!
We just enjoyed our first swims in our new inground pool and loved it. Will, Wayne and Elliot did what they said they would - blend in a beautiful pool into my existing landscaped backyard. Couple in a severe slope in my backyard and this was no small feat. They built a beautiful armor stone retaining wall that will stand the test of time. They sloped the deck so water runs away from the pool. They built a beautiful water feature that provides a great backdrop to the pool. They started the dig on August 12th and we were swimming in the pool September 20th - less than 6 weeks!They also repaired my side steps leading to the backyard and they are better than new.Will provided all quotes in writing and answered my numerous questions. He would check in daily with updates just in case I hadn’t received one from Wayne (the master pool builder).My wife and I asked ourselves a simple question- would we do it all over again with Y&R Pools and the answer is yes!Thank you Will, Wayne and Elliot for delivering a beautiful pool and backyard that we will enjoy for years.
We met Elliot in the Fall of 2021 after being recommended by some neighbors and other friends who had pools installed by his company in recent years.Elliot walked us through the process in detail and we decided to have a 35 ft Dolphin fibreglass pool installed the following spring (2022). Elliot also recommended a tree removal company to prepare the site and provided a clear overview of the next steps.Unfortunately the following spring the installation was initially delayed because of the crane operators' strike and some other supply chain issues, but once it started it progressed quickly and it showed the experience of the YR Pools crew. We had some issues with bulging that were corrected by Elliot in a very expedient way, and it once again confirmed his great character and customer service.The entire process, including the extensive stonework, took about three weeks and we were able to use the pool for the first time on May 6th and have enjoyed it ever since.In conclusion, Elliot and the team at YR Pools did a great job transforming our backyard and we can recommend him with no reserves.
