They are one of the best companies I have dealt with. In the world today, it is hard to even get someone to show up at my house to fix stuff. Jana and Chris have been a pleasure to work with for the last 5 years. They are fast to fix and/replace all the issues I have had with my pool cover. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.
Service call Nov 2024. Phillip came out to diagnose my cover problem. It turned out the core that the cover rolls on and off had broken/corroded away from the hydraulic motor. Because they don’t repair the hydraulic part of the AQUAMATIC system he was unable to help me further. They do other repairs on the AQUAMATIC hydraulic system and repair all parts of electric motor systems. For new installations, they partner with Automatic Pool Covers out of Indiana. While I was told there would be a charge for the visit initially and they had my credit card on file, Phillip told me I would not be charged. That was a pleasant surprise, and I would recommend this business for its customer service.
One of the worst vendors I have ever dealt with in my career. Unbelievably unprofessional and arrogant. They did the original installation when our pool was built, but apparently did not install the track properly. They left a gap on one side between the rail join that wore in a way that eventually caused the cover to jam open several ft (deforming the rubber bead that holds the cover into the track). I later confirmed from a track installation manual that there must not be any gap where the rails join when installed.I called Northwest Pool Covers to fix it urgently as I was worried about little kids and deer falling into the pool while we were out (very real fear for us as a relative fell into a pond and drowned at age 3). But when I asked them to make sure the new rails were installed according to the manufacturers specifications Alan Haws the owner told me he always installs them with a gap and became really offended I was questioning his workmanship, said I should go get "the Factory" to help me and sent his staff an email telling them no one was allowed to have further contact with me.The pictures below show both the damaged join on the track that jammed and the join on the opposite side for comparison (which appears to have been installed correctly). Whatever they claim was the right way to do it, the pictures prove the "workmanship" was inconsistent. Wonder how many other of their installs are like this.Truly shocking response to a significant immediate safety issue caused by his own company's poor workmanship. I recommend you find someone else, as anyone else is likely better than Northwest Pool Covers. We ended up having to rip out the entire original Coverstar cover, tracks and motor etc. and we replaced it with a better and lower cost product available from a competitor.
Doesn't service their products
Northwest Pool Covers was incredible from start to finish!!! Alan (Owner), Jana (Coordinator Extraordinaire), & Chris (Professional Installer) were there for us every step of the way. They gave us options and helped to guide us into the right direction for both our pool & hot tub. We look forward to having the quality pool covers for the years to come. Could not have done it without them!!!! Doug & Sharon Walker (Roslyn, WA)
