This review is based on almost two years of experience with Roberts Hot Tubs. This is an amazing business, with a fantastic product and outstanding customer support.We are on the East Coast, in a fairly rural area. We started talking with RHT about two years ago—we had seen them on Instagram, and thought their tubs were really beautiful. We spent several months talking with Benny to understand what would work best for us, what the installation needs would be, etc. We ordered the tub about 18 months ago and it was delivered, assembled, in June 2024. We worked closely with Benny and his staff to manage the installation. It was quite challenging, and required us to find and coordinate hardscaping, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing contractors. When it was done, Benny guided us through learning how to care for the tub.Unfortunately, the hot tub leaked beyond the breaking-in period, when we would have expected the wood to swell and seal the seams. Despite multiple attempts at troubleshooting over several months, the leak did not seal. Roberts Hot Tubs not only replaced the entire tub; they sent a new, unassembled tub, and flew a technician across the country to us for 4 days to assemble the new tub on site. They also paid all carpentry costs associated with disassembling and reassembling the teak decking. To say we were gobsmacked at this commitment to the customer is an understatement.We now have a beautiful, fully functional, teak hot tub. It does not leak. We are in it every single day. It smells of the forest, and is an aesthetically stunning addition to our home. We continue to be impressed with the ongoing customer support, as questions come up. We cannot recommend Roberts Hot Tubs highly enough—every time we’re in the tub, we say to one another that it is the best money we’ve ever spent. Although it is a more challenging process to have it set up and installed than a “plug and play” fiberglass tub, it is worth every bit of effort. An absolutely A+ product, and an absolutely A+ business.
I have a seven foot cedar hot tub that Roberts Hot Tubs made. I called them up with a problem and they gave me their technician's phone number Benny. Benny is nicer than your grandmother. He called my electrician and guided him so that the tub was properly wired (I'm in Carmel, CA). The tub is terrific, Roberts Hot Tubs are terrific and Benny is an angle.
Roberts has been so generous in helping me properly care for a wooden hot tub in our new house. We moved here about a year ago and were excited by the the wooden hot tub that came with the house. They saved us from using the wrong products and helped me understand how to clean it properly. Yesterday, when I asked Benny about energy usage, he gave me a couple of helpful tips. If they provide this type of customer care for a hot tub that they didn't install, I can only image how helpful they would be for those that they do install.
I spent over $2,500 on a custom hot tub cover from Robert’s Hot Tubs, and within just one week of installation, multiple wood planks warped severely—with more beginning to show signs of failure. I promptly sent photos and requested a proper resolution. The response? A dismissive suggestion to wait and see if more boards warp so they can send replacement planks… which I’d be expected to install myself.Let’s be clear: I did not invest thousands of dollars to be given a DIY repair project on a brand-new product. When I pushed back, I was told I’d be contacted by a General Manager. That follow-up never happened. No apology, no ownership—just radio silence.This company’s unwillingness to stand behind its craftsmanship is shocking, and their lack of accountability is deeply unprofessional. If this issue isn’t rectified immediately—with either a full replacement or a service-supported solution—I will be initiating a formal credit card dispute and continuing to share this experience across all major consumer review platforms.To anyone considering a purchase from Robert’s Hot Tubs: buyer beware. A premium price should come with premium quality and support. So far, I’ve received neither.
