Dustin was great to work with. He coordinated all of the different phases of our pool remodel in a very timely and efficient manner. I would recommend Dustin and PalmTree Pools to anyone looking to replaster their pool or improve the look of their pool.

So, this is a first. I've gone back and forth on whether I should write this updated review. I've concluded that I need to. This company has been amazing. They were one of the only ones I found who were willing to come clean our above ground pool on a consistent basis. They have been well worth the $300 a month price that I've paid them since about May of this year.

That was the case, at least until today (10/5/24). I'd contacted them because I noticed that the floor of the pool wasn't cleaned as well as it normally was and to express concerns that no chlorine tablets were added (they usually add 4-6 each week). I asked if someone could come by to correct the floor and add the tablets. They assured me someone would try to stop by today or Monday to clean the floor and explained that the tablets were not needed because I had a high pH. I was cool with that.

One of the people who runs the company came out and cleaned the pool himself. I thought cool I can always rely on him to help. That was until he dropped the bomb that he was refunding me the October charge of $300 and canceling my weekly cleaning. He stated that he was canceling my service because I have consistently been dissatisfied with their service. He claimed I've contacted him on a weekly basis with concerns or problems I've had with their cleaning of my pool. This is not true. I've only contacted him two times with concerns about the cleaning of my pool. This includes what was mentioned above and another time one month ago when the person they sent claimed they put tablets in the pool but never actually did.

I have contacted him a few more times earlier in the summer, but those concerned them helping repair our pools pipes (and they were super awesome about that) and me contacting him to inform him our liner was being replaced so at least one week of cleaning wasn't going to be needed. Again, only two times I've contacted him dealt with me having a concern about the quality of service they were providing.

He also stated that his guys have issues cleaning my pool because I do not have a deck around it and that he has fired two people since putting me on their cleaning rotation implying that it was my fault they were fired. I didn't even know they were fired until a random new person showed up the next week, and I liked the very first guy they sent to start cleaning my pool. I hated that they fired him. He did great with my pool.

He even stated that he can't afford to keep sending guys out on Saturday or come out himself for all of the concerns I've had. Again, only two times have I done that. Any other time they've come out on a Saturday was because they fell behind on their cleaning route and had to push me to Saturday morning. I was warned up front that could happen and was perfectly okay with that.

Overall, this has been very confusing. I loved stumbling upon them because I've been on the lookout for a company that'd willingly clean my pool, and I was willing to pay a premium for it. I thought, finally, I don't have to stress about the pool as much anymore. And since I hired them, I haven't. Today's issue and the one a month ago weren't even that major to me.

With all that being said, I'm changing my review to a 1 out of 5 because I loved having them come clean my pool. It made this past summer so much better, but I'm super disappointed that 2 concerns raised in all that time is enough for them to feel like my money I pay them isn't worth it. Hell, I'd even accepted paying more per month if needed for the service to continue. Because at the end of the day, they agreed to take me on as a customer, and I have never had a negative thing to say about them to anyone. I even wrote a glowing review originally. I can not and will not recommend them now, however, because if they can turn on a customer that has had nothing but great things to say about them, then I guess they really weren't that great to begin with.

Have used multiple pool service companies over the years and Palm Tree Pools is my new go to service company. Called on Friday afternoon, Dustin came out Monday morning diagnosed the problems, provided a reasonable estimate, ordered the parts and had everything repaired and running by Tuesday. Very knowledgeable and didn’t try to sell me anything I did not need. Highly recommend and I will be using them again

Dustin replaced my in-ground pool lights today and also installed a Pentair Screen Logic so I can control all my pool functions from my iPhone. He was awesome…one of the best guys I’ve worked with. He was professional, super knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I am very happy with his work. I also get my pool cleaned/serviced from Palm Tree Pools and highly recommend these folks!!!
