I really can’t say enough great things about Swimco. It started with Jim’s low-pressure sales style and continued with his son James’ accessibility before, during, and after construction — even in the middle of the winter! He was available 24/7 and never once expressed frustration dealing with my wife and me and our endless questions. He was nothing but patient.

The entire Swimco team is polite and professional. The same can be said for the contractors they use for concrete, electrical, and other work.

As for the pool itself, everything feels top quality. It truly feels like we have our own little resort in the backyard. Watching the team throughout the construction process, it was evident that they don’t cut corners.

An added bonus was how much effort they put into minimizing the impact on our backyard. We were pleasantly surprised by how small the construction footprint was and how well they took care of the surrounding area.

I would recommend Swimco above anyone else.

We were taken in and treated like family. Every detail was reviewed from beginning to end. The owner Jim was five steps ahead throughout this project, making sure every plan for our yard was thought of. We cannot express our gratitude enough. You will not be disappointed. We had our pool installed 9 years ago and couldn't thank Jim and his guys enough for the hard word they did installing the pool into a tight area. But they did it!
9 years later:
We needed a little repair work done on the filter this week. From my phone call to the service, your staff is so kind, polite, and efficient, but as they always are.
I've been dealing with a few different people doing work around my house this week, and your guys are the nicest, most competent people. You always hear the bad things, and I just felt to reach out to you and thank you from the pool you put into the great continuous service!!

At the end of June 2019, my husband and I had already met with four different pool companies and had one more pool company to go. With a major purchase like this, we wanted to make sure that we received the best product from the most reliable company. We THOUGHT that we had pretty much knew which one we were going to go with, but we wanted to make sure that we did an extensive search and had made an appointment with one last company.
In the first week of July, Mr. Mahoney, the owner of Swimco pools came to our house to meet with us to discuss details of the in-ground pool that we had prepared for both financially and aesthetically since 2018. Mr. Mahoney was on time and had been in regular contact with us from the first call we made to set up a date and time to meet. During our consultation, Mr. Mahoney clearly explained the processes involved in the installation of an in-ground pool. He went over the materials and colors that were available and advised us on which to choose based on our wants and needs. He also broke down the pricing in an itemized list which included the pool, the pool parts, the pool equipment, the concrete, and a fire pit that we opted for. At the end of our meeting with Mr. Mahoney, there was no hesitation in our decision. Mr. Mahoney had made my husband and me feel confident that Swimco was the one to go with. His transparency, honesty, experience, and evident knowledge in this field gave us the assurance to go forward and sign the contract right then and there. Although the price was a little more than some of the other companies’ quotes, we knew that we were getting quality service and quality materials. We had no doubt that it would be worth it upon completion.
Because of Covid and the delays that it caused nationally and world-wide, our pool installation was scheduled to begin in July of the following year (2021). We understood the reason behind this, but I must admit, it was a little nerve-racking because it was such a long time away. Who knew what could happen within a year’s time? Well, Swimco pulled through and kept their promise and installation began on time.
We cannot say enough about the employees at Swimco. They arrived early every morning and did not leave until early evening. They worked tirelessly in the 80 degree heat with barely any breaks. The entire crew was amazing. Each one of them were always professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about their products and the installation process. They were patient with all of our questions and made sure that we knew what was happening daily. It was very clear that Mr. Mahoney runs a tight ship and hires only the most competent employees. They cleaned up before they left every day and left the yard spotless.
We even attended “Pool School” in which Jacob, an amazing and very knowledgeable employee showed us all the ins-and-out of taking care of our new pool and how to use the pool equipment and accessories properly. I don’t know what we would have done without Jacob’s expertise! He was fantastic!
One of the most important things that we were looking for when choosing a pool company was open communication. We had heard horror stories of others who could not get in touch with the pool company once their pool was finished and paid for. From the very beginning to the closing of our pool, Swimco has provided excellent communication. Our phone calls and texts were answered almost immediately and our concerns were addressed or our questions were answered quickly and efficiently. They honestly make you feel as if you are their only customer.
I would (and have) recommended Swimco to anyone interested in purchasing an in-ground pool. I cannot say enough about how professional, personable, skilled, and knowledgeable they are in their field. We could not be happier with our new pool! Thank you to all who were involved in making our vision come true. Thank you, Mr. Mahoney!
8/22 UPDATE: I continue to be impressed with Swimco. I cannot write in detail how wonderful they have been this summer b/c I will run out words Google allows! Swimco=quality!!
