Riken Pool was hired to install our new pool and provided the accessories and instructions for closing it at the end of the season. Those instructions included plugging both the filter and return water openings.During the winter, water froze inside the filter area and expanded. The resulting pressure caused the pool wall to compress and separate from the top rail. When I contacted Riken Pool and asked them to inspect the damage and determine whether the pool could be repaired, I was told the issue resulted from the cover's liner strap being placed underneath the filter. However, that was not how the cover had been installed.Seeking a second opinion, I consulted another pool professional who concluded that the damage was caused by plugging the filter and return openings, which prevented excess water from draining properly during freeze-thaw conditions.I am sharing this experience not only to inform potential customers, but also because I was disappointed by what I perceived as an unwillingness to accept responsibility or fully investigate the cause of the damage. I encourage anyone purchasing a pool to carefully review winterization procedures and seek multiple opinions if problems arise.
I called on 5\20/2026 and explain to the woman on the phone that I have a leak in the underground plumbing of my built-in pool and is this something they could handle, she stated “yes” they would come out and do a pressure test first. I said that’s fine. She made me an appointment for 5/27. She was pleasant and stated arrival would probably be later in the afternoon probably after 3pm. Well, I waited until 5:15 and then I called and got the answering machine stating that they were closed so I left a detailed message with my name, address, phone number and I also followed up with an email. That was Wednesday. It is Friday and I still haven’t heard anything from the company not an email not a phone call. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I wasted a week waiting for them to show up.
I have to commend the Riken Team and Family. I was in need to replace my 25 year old pool. I reached out by email and Kirsten immediately got back to me to begin the process. Rick was great throughout the entire process. He came to my house to review the grounds of where the pool would be placed and explained everything in detail. Their staff was professional and timely. They came and took down my existing pool and removed the debris, returned to prepare the pool site and installed the new pool abutting it next to the existing deck. Would highly recommend. Great Service!!. Thanks
Made the switch to using Riken this year. Professional, friendly, helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure your pool experience is as simple and effective as it can be. Just sit back and enjoy like you're supposed to. They also installed it 12 years ago. A+ installation as well.
We had purchased our 18x52 round pool along with the installation from Riken in 2020. They did an amazing job! We’ve been customers ever since, going back each season for water testing, chemicals, and all of our many pool maintenance questions. Everyone there knows their stuff and is always pleasant and helpful. Great store, great experience, great people! Highly recommend!
