I had a great experience with Viridian and give them my highest recommendation.

We bought our house in 2018, and there was an existing pool. It has had several problems over the years and we've had trouble getting a company to truly examine and offer durable repairs. This includes several local big name pool builders in the triangle, including the company that built the pool for the previous owners. Initial calls would occur and then these companies would just stop returning phone calls after thousands spent in superficial repairs.

Last year we developed a large leak in the pool and called several pool builders, Viridian was in our neighborhood building another pool and Ricardo one of the owners and an engineer stopped by. He gave it a thorough exam and walked us through the process of remodeling a pool. We weren't convinced that we didn't want to just tear it out. We got several bids from builders and remodelers that were further away from the triangle. Viridian was similarly priced to their competitiros.

We were most impressed with Ricardo and his open communication style. Ricardo was sensitive to our situation, he built in reasonable milestones for decision making during the course of a chip out and remodel. The experience was daunting and uncovering the flaws in an aged pool led to many discoveries and needed changes to the initial plan. These changes included advanced plumbing, modifying an infloor cleaning system, integration of our pools plumbing with our irrigation system, removal and replacement of pump, salivation, and heating equipment, and electrical work required to make the new system function.

During all of the changes and ups and downs Ricardo took every phone call and answered every text message. When I was frustrated or confused about needed changes, he was thorough and patient in explaining issues. We looked at things together and walked the pool a ton. When I wanted to get prices from other companies for equipment replacement, I was pleasantly surprised that all the estimates were inline with competitors who hadn't worked on our pool. Meaning, it was clear to me Viridian never tried to upsell me, charge me extra to make up for losses, or in any way treat me with anything but respect and integrity. I would recommend them to anyone that asks.

Because of all of the changes, the remodel took longer than I expected, and I'm sure longer than Viridian expected. I think going through it again, I would try to have a clearer anticipated timeline for all the work to be done just to help with my own expectations and perspective.

Working with Viridian Pools was such a great experience from start to finish. We had several companies come out and quote our backyard pool and patio project, and while Viridian came in around the middle price-wise, the overall interaction we had with them was far better than any of the others.

Levi, who led our design work, spent over an hour just standing in our yard with us, really listening and helping us figure out how to bring our vision to life. He gave great advice when we needed it but also gave us space to make the decisions that mattered most to us. It never felt rushed or like we were being pushed toward something we didn’t want. The guidance and patience throughout the design and rendering process was far more than we could've asked for.

Once construction started, Ricardo and Sam took the lead, and both of them were amazing to work with. Ricardo kept us updated every step of the way and even let us know which days would be fun to be outside and watch some of the big milestone moments. Sam was great at helping us understand what was happening day to day and what to expect next. He even helped us score a really beautiful stone for our waterfall that pulled everything together perfectly along with a fancy auto fill system.

One thing that really stood out was how much effort Ricardo put in when it came to the small details. He helped us work through a few mid-project decisions and even drove several hours to find the last pallet of a stone that would match our existing patio. He and Sam also took the time to match each of the skimmer covers to the exact stone of the patio instead of the more traditional plastic covers. It felt likw the level of detail they'd put into their own pool and that kind of dedication is hard to come by.

Everyone we worked with was incredibly helpful, and their subcontractors were just as great. On top of that, they really helped us manage our budget. If we hadn’t asked for a couple of changes during the build, they would have landed exactly on the original quote, which is almost unheard of based on what I’ve heard from friends who’ve used other pool companies in the area.

I can’t say enough good things about Viridian Pools and the team we worked with. The quality of the work is outstanding, the whole process felt smooth and thoughtful, and we’re so happy with how everything turned out. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat—and honestly, we feel lucky to now consider Levi, Ricardo, and Sam friends.
