Very pleased. Design was flexible and accomodating to my plan and ended up beautiful. Communication was excellent. Execution was definitely above average quality. When I had a concern with something, they did not push back and promptly corrected it to my satisfaction. I am very happy with the final result. Solid company.
Be aware of this company. They will not get back in touch with you in a timely manner, especially if you have complaints. Once they get your money for the pool, they don’t care. The coping around my pool was installed haphazardly“big chunks out of the coping, cracks in coping” and my electrical face plate that controls my pool was fried when they installed it “probably from leaving it out in wet cardboard boxes” The pool company done nothing in regards to the fried panel, it was my husband that had to call the warranty company to get the control unit fixed. They left all my equipment that was going to be installed outside in the weather for weeks until the cardboard boxes were shredded. I had to drag it into my building to protect it.They ran over my split unit line and would not fix “which it is in the contract that they won’t” but they did fix my neighbors electrical debacle. Pick and choose??? My neighbor stated that the pool company was not going to fix his electrical, but he threatened to blast them on his YouTube channel, then they changed their mind. That is what the man told me, and I believe him. When I called to inquire about the electrical, I was hung up on by a lady “Kim”This pool company is below par and should be avoided at all cost! Most of the workers do not speak English and it is hard to understand them, here illegally?? I will be adding pictures for reference! Also, they do not pick up their garbage around the pool. My husband had to ask Dustin to remove. This is not the first pool that I have had installed, Payne pools being my first. I wished I had went with them. Now, a hole in my micro glass.Run from this company- see picture.Rude employees and the guy that came to redo my coping was rude. Told me he was sent to redo two pieces of coping. Well, there are many more that need to be redone. Paid too much for this atrocity.
Big shout out to Mikail at Sputhern Pool scapes. This guy is the real deal and knows his business. We have built multiple pools for Premier Vacation Group this winter and he has been amazing to work with. Going WAY above and beyond to see to it that we met the timelines set buy the home owners, as well as making sure that all equipment if working correctly. I wouldn't want to work with anyone else.
December 2025 update:**I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS POOL WILL NOT STAND THE TEST OF TIME**we are now over 250 days since we started our project. It has been a nightmare. Communication is extremely poor and every employee we have come in contact with is INCOMPETENT except the nice women who answer the phone at the office.Almost everything on our project has been done 2-3 times over because they cannot do it correctly, including the lanai company Gulf Aluminum (would NOT recommend). The auto fill, the transformer for the pool lights and the chlorinator on our pump have already been having major issues. These people have trashed my yard and ruined every holiday for my family for almost a year now.We have had to manage the project as if we were employees in order to get as far as we have. We are near the end but most of it looks like a really good DIY project….which is incredibly unfortunate because we didn’t pay DIY money, we paid for a luxury custom PROFESSIONAL job.I would not recommend this company.**OCTOBER 2025 UPDATE**It is now day 193 since we started digging. Gulf Coast Aluminum was contracted thru Southern Poolscapes to build the lanai. We were told by multiple people that this process would take less than a week once the material arrived on property. It’s been a full month. They had to start over from scratch because the first crew they sent out here did such a terrible job. They also destroyed some of our personal property while they were on the job. They sent another crew that had seemed to be working hard and being respectful, but they’ve been ghosting us for almost a week now. Luckily they did discover that a large portion of the project’s concrete footer was not concrete at all…it was just dirt with mortar smeared on top. I had told multiple SP employees I was concerned about the integrity of the footers for months and was dismissed. The more time that passes, the more other things on the project are falling apart or getting damaged. This process has been a nightmare. We have had multiple on site meetings with project managers, team leads, and the owner of southern poolscapes. Promises are made. Deadlines are mentioned. Things seem like they might work out and that this project is going to be made a priority…and then there’s absolutely no follow thru or management. Quality of work turns to crap. People stop showing up.If we are being made a priority, why has enough time has passed since I last updated this review to have built this entire project from start to finish? We have to be one of the longest ongoing residential projects for this company. I don’t know why they won’t just finish the job. There have been no weather delays or supply shortages. The only issues we have had are inexperienced workers, poor quality craftsmanship, and no oversight.**UPDATE**It’s been a couple weeks and we still aren’t swimming. After I posted these reviews the owner of the company made a site visit and came up with “a laundry list” of things that needed to be corrected. I asked to see the list of items but was never shown. Unsettling to hear the owner of a luxury pool company thinks your project is riddled with issues…Since then our plaster date was pushed back again, they’ve attempted to complete a simple stucco wall about 4 different times and don’t seem to be able to do it properly. Someone delivered a flat of travertine tile in front of our garage bay door so we had not been able to park in the garage for a week. And when they delivered the flat they blacked their truck into my house and it damaged the siding. I haven’t heard from the company about how they plan to rectify this.AS IM WRITING THIS WE ARE ON DAY 134. The only delays we have had with this project have been the result of poor quality assurance and poor management within Southern Poolscapes.************************************
Hunter and Jeremy at Southern Poolscapes helped transform our backyard into an oasis for the AL summer heat. Great communication and dedication to make sure things were done right the first time and willing to make adjustments to fit our exact requirements. Excellent customer service. Took the time to show us locally completed pools in the area to help envision our own project and help put us at ease for the large financial and very permanent decisions we were making. Very impressed with the craftsmanship of the pool and spa. Will update review with final finished landscaping.
