Reviews

What customers say

Customers praised the design and results, including a pool fitted to a limited yard and another owner’s satisfaction with the finished work. A replaster customer highlighted the efficient crew and a responsive project manager during the curing period. One custom-pool customer reported widespread concrete cracking and loose pool and hot-tub tiles, and said they had been told for five to six weeks that someone would come fix it, but no repair visit had happened.

8 months post pool build. Still dealing with needed repairs. To start, Ruben was great to work with and a top notch guy. We had a fully custom free form pool built. We started back in the late summer/fall of 2025. It ran over projected finish date by 30-45 days, due to weather. (No big deal) We didn’t even ask for the 100 dollars per day off the bill. Then everything started to unfold. We had the wrong heater installed. They swapped it, no big deal. Concrete quote came in 14k over original bid. We paid for it. Pool school was delayed heavily by it being not fully operational. Now, we are 8-9 months post pool build and can start seeing where things may have been half done. I have sent videos to the owner, and other workers involved with BC pools. 70% of the concrete has cracked, tiles are falling off the hot tub, tiles are falling off of the outside of the pool, hot tub isn’t fully grouted, stairs aren’t grouted, etc. I have been told for 5-6 weeks now someone will be out there to fix it. Hasn’t happened yet. The pool is swimmable, but it isn’t finished the way you would expect it to be finished with paying 170k. Would I recommend them to build? Up in the air.

Backyard Customs recently replastered our gunite pool. Ruben was very knowledge when discussing options and the process. The replaster team was quick to start the job, efficient, and did an amazing job with the replaster. The project manager, Jesus, was always very responsive to any of our questions during the process and during the curing time. Highly recommend Backyard Customs!

Backyard Customs designed a pool to fit the limited space, it was very quick and easy. Contract to finish was about 90 days. 1 thing I would say is maybe a little more communication on what each next step is and it’s timing. Overall pleased with the experience and end results and would recommend their service.

Backyard Customs provided great service from start to finish. Our pool included a spa, pool heat/cool pump, spa heater, water feature, and a privacy wall. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and would highly recommend them to anyone considering an in-ground pool. Ruben did a great job designing the pool, Colin did a great job managing the project, and Lazaro was very responsive when needed.

We are very happy with the end results of our pool remodel. We got three bids and BC Pools was the best price. We also added upgrades as we went and they worked with us on the price. It did take a little longer than expected but we love the outcome. We would choose you again Thanks for all the hard work.
