I had a great experience with Makos Pool and Scuba. The owner, Mike, personally came out to repair my pump, which I really appreciated. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and gave me very helpful maintenance advice so I could better take care of my pool going forward. On top of that, he was very polite and kind, especially to my dog. It’s clear he cares about his customers (whether one time repair or maintenance). I would highly recommend this company and would use them again.
I was originally using Pool Partners for my 10x20 Desjoyaux pool, which has a unique system with a single pump and a bag filter — very different from a traditional pool setup. I was hesitant to switch services because not many companies are familiar with this type of system. But I’m so glad I took a leap of faith and contacted Mako’s Pool and Scuba.I don’t even remember how I found them, but when I explained the setup, Michael was more than willing to come out and take a look. He was knowledgeable, professional, and confident in servicing it. I now use Mako for both my primary residence and my rental property in Garden Hills, which has a traditional pool — and they handle both with ease.What really stands out is the level of detail and communication. I love that their service emails include a photo and water test results — super helpful and transparent. The biggest win, though, was their recommendation and installation of a new cartridge filtration system to replace my old bag filter.
