Be very cautious when dealing with Cricket Pools.

I was told they were Pentair certified, but when they came out, they claimed my pool company that built my pool “didn’t know anything about Pentair.” I was convinced to let them come out and adjust my pump settings. After they made adjustments, my pump stopped working completely.

I contacted the pool company that originally built my pool, and they came out and fixed the issue. I am extremely grateful they helped because this was not their mistake or responsibility.

After all of this, Cricket Pools continued to demand an $85 service fee for what was simply adjusting settings on my phone for the pump. They called me 5–6 times a day, then began calling from blocked numbers. They also repeatedly sent text messages demanding payment.

The final interaction was with Miranda from their collections department. She was extremely rude, told me I needed to pay immediately, and when I asked her to stop calling from a blocked number, she hung up on me. She then told her supervisors that I hung up on her, which was not true.

I will not recommend a company that handles customers this way. I will also be contacting Pentair because companies representing themselves as certified providers should be held to a higher standard. This type of behavior reflects poorly on the Pentair name.

Cricket’s has been fantastic. As a first time
pool owner they took their time and helped me figure out how a pool actually works. They explained what chemicals I need and really made the process easy. Charlie helped fix a number pieces of pool equipment and really knows his stuff. We are now ready to enjoy our pool!!

I’ve been using them for years and they have gone out of there way to fix my pool especially after the Hurricanes and freeze! Please give them a shot at keeping your pool beautiful year round! Cricket Pools has been servicing my pool for many years. I really liked the service person I had for years and was disappointed when he left but then I got Allison who has done a wonderful job. They definitely deserve a 5 star rating.

WARNING! DON'T call this company for pool maintenance services. I made the mistake of calling them to come do a basic cleaning job for minor green algae build up on pool floor, but my pool water was still crystal clear. I also wanted an estimate to replace burnt light and sand filter. During the first trip technician admitted he back washed sand filter into pool. Four service charges later at $60 each my pool still wasn't clean, but in fact looked way worse then before I initially called them. I never even received repair estimate that I was charged $69.95 for on top of everything else. Keep in mind none of these charges were ever agreed upon before hand. After the fourth service trip by their technician who stated he was done and water should clear within 24 hours I was skeptical. Needless to say after 24 hours this was not the case so I decided to email them my concerns. Their response basically stated that they know their business and guaranteed I received exemplary service. Well by the looks of my pool water I beg to differ. I then called another local pool company who had my pool clean in 2 trips and it looked way worse then before cricket initially came out. Well less than a month later I received a bill stating my account was 90 days overdue for $450. How am I 90 days past due when services (and I use that word lightly) were done less than a month ago? End result, I was advised by cricket that they would not adjust bill and they even threatened to take me to small claims court to collect. Personally, I don't have the time nor finances to fight this in court or trust me I would on principle alone. If you want to be overcharged for subpar pool services then threatened with small claims court when you challenge their quality of services or invoice charges then this is the company for you...
