Black Diamond Pool and Spa

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after more than a month of dealing with missed deadlines, poor communication, and ultimately having to hire someone else to fix the work, I feel obligated to share my experience.

Brian was friendly and professional in person, which is why I gave him multiple opportunities to make things right. Unfortunately, the communication and follow-through were extremely disappointing. He repeatedly set deadlines for repairing my hot tub and then missed them. On several occasions, he would go 5–7 days without responding to texts or providing any updates.

After more than a month of waiting and not receiving responses for days at a time, I finally hired another company, Happy Spa. Jeremy came out and corrected Brian’s work in a single day. I was informed that the pump had been miswired, an incorrect part had been installed, and a screw on the brand-new pump I purchased had been cracked.

To make matters worse, the pricing changed multiple times throughout the project, and I had to request an itemized invoice at least five different times before receiving one. Even now, the invoice still contains inaccuracies.

The most frustrating part is that this situation could have been avoided with honest communication. If Brian had simply kept me informed and followed through on commitments, I would have continued working with him. Instead, I was left waiting for weeks with little to no communication and ultimately had to pay someone else to correct the work.

I fully expect Brian to respond to this review, but I have no issue sharing the text message history showing the missed deadlines, lack of responses, and repeated requests for updates and documentation.

There is absolutely no question that I'll be calling Black Diamond again with any of my spa needs. I contacted a different place here in Longmont and made the mistake of not reading the reviews first. A week later, without hearing back from the first place, I reached out to Black Diamond. Brian got back to me that evening and promised to squeeze me in the next day. He lived up to his promise and showed up that evening. He completed the repairs in a very timely manner and communicated throughout the entire process.
If you need any sort of help with a pool or spa, I definitely recommend reaching out to Black Diamond!

I would not call Black diamond pool and spa to service your pool or hot tub. Brian was 1 and half hrs late. We were over charged for their service. Brian left our pool with algae. He charged us $350.00 for what took 2 hrs of work. Broke our vinyl vaccum head and didn't mention the missing bolt. When I called back the next day, after seeing the algae at the bottom of the pool he blamed it on our chemicals. In which he offered to charge us an additional $150.00 to add his commercial grade chemicals. Do not make the mistake of using Black Diamond Pool and Spa.

Our family uses Black Diamond Pool & Spa for our pool maintenance and are very satisfied with their knowledge and attention to detail in maintaining our pool. Brian is always available to answer our questions and educate us on the operation of the pool equipment.

The technician I had evaluate my pool went by the name Brian. He was extremely courteous and professional. Didn't joke much, but offered a sympathetic laugh for each lame quip I made while he was hard at work.
Overall, I don't know exactly what I was expecting when I began searching for a technician to come out, but for the quality of service and prompt response time, I am thoroughly impressed.
