If I could give zero stars, I would.

Before we bought our hot tub, we specifically asked Bachmann’s Spas to send an electrician to our house to make sure everything was ready. We made it very clear that we did not want any surprise expenses after purchasing. Their electrician came out, looked at everything, and told us we were good to go.

That turned out to be completely false.

After the hot tub was delivered, the electrician who came to hook it up informed us that we needed a full panel upgrade—an expense of several thousand dollars that was never mentioned before the sale. A panel upgrade was absolutely not in our budget this year, and had we been told the truth from the beginning, we would have waited to purchase the hot tub.

It feels like once the sale was made and the hot tub was sitting in our driveway, the promises suddenly didn’t matter anymore. Whether this was incompetence or simply saying whatever needed to be said to close the deal, the result is the same: we’re now thousands of dollars deeper into this project because we trusted the information Bachmann’s Spas gave us.

For a company selling products that require significant electrical work, giving customers inaccurate information is unacceptable. We trusted them, and they cost us thousands. I would never recommend Bachmann’s Spas to anyone looking for an honest, transparent buying experience.

We bought our hot tub from them 9 years ago. Their sales department is of course on the ball. Happy to do whatever they can to take your money and get a sale.
When it comes to service that’s another story. We’ve had multiple occasions over the years to get serviced. Their service department does not answer the phone. All you can do is leave a voicemail. They must not even listen to it. We’ve been leaving messages daily since last week with no return call. Unfortunately, this seems to be their MO because it happened the past couple of times.
Just remember, sales department is nothing if they don’t have the service to back it up.

While shopping at Costco we met John their amazing enthusiastic employee who sold us in the vision of owning a hot tub. We have enjoyed it almost daily ever since purchasing and having it installed over 6 months ago. Highly recommended you meeting John and seeing the vision too!
