Prior to this year I had been receiving services from Southside; previously they had been somewhat reasonable regarding their customer services and products. The last two years their customer service has been abhorrent.I sent two emails last year the first regarding a liner replacement which I received an email back for three months later. Similarly, I sent an email in October/November last year only to get a response in April of this year. When I asked why it took so long for a response no explanation was provided, nor any of my concerns addressed. Following poor communication and service (showing up at my house with no prior warning, not responding to emails or phone calls, unsatisfactory closing of my pool last year, and the poor quality of their solar and winter covers, the latter of which tore after two seasons and did not make it through the third) and a heated series of emails back and forth with the manager I was bluntly informed that Southside would not longer be providing me any services.It was very apparent that they lack accountability and proper communication with customers and is very disappointing for a company we had been using since 2020.
Always get friendly and knowledgable service here. Recently replaced my 17 year old hot tub with a new hot tub and it was a great experience. They took the old tub away and placed the new tub. I also go here for all of my pool parts and chemicals. Happy customer! Thank you!
I've recently purchased a pool + installation from Southside. The staff in the store helped me make an informed decision and didn't pressure me to make a purchase at all. I felt comfortable with my choice after visiting the competition and wasn't taken seriously at all.The install team was absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail was amazing, and I was extremely happy I chose them to install it rather than attempting it myself as there were many things I would not have considered when prepping the ground. They went over and above what I expected and would recommend them over any other company in the area.Thank you to everyone at Southside Pools & Spas for the amazing service!
Terrible experience with this company, which should not come as a surprise based on the reviews. All the bas reviews are correct: they refuse to own up to their responsibility or take ownership for mistakes they made.We had arranged to have our pool fixed, with a new liner, and to get it operational. They came to our property for a pre-inspection so they knew exactly the state of the pool or should have if they did their jobs correctly (spoiler: they don't!).They showed up at 10:40am, left at noon, and came back at 2:30 to sit in our driveway until 4:30 - 3 guys doing not much all day but we were paying labour for 3 of them to fix the pool.They left while the water truck was still filling our pool (how convenient to not be there when it started leaking). They did not fix a broken pipe before having the pool filled which leaked 1/4 of the water truck water all over our lawn.No accountability. Not their fault - she actually told us "they didn't get down with a mirror so how would they see it?" - Ma'am, this was their job. We paid $1200 for the water truck and due to their incompetence we lost at least $400 of water. Wouldn't do anything but argue how this wasn't their fault.Don't waste your time with them. Read the negative reviews, they are all the same experience. No accountability. Awful customer service. The woman on the phone has the personality of a wet blanket & many times we have been in person to buy something here and have noted how miserable and unfriendly they are. Why did we choose this company? I don't know. It was a big mistake. I hope my review will change someone's mind and save them the headache of dealing with this company.I would also really like the owner to fight and argue this HONEST review of the terrible services rendered, it will just further prove the point of every negative review on here; No accountability and awful customer service.
Got a hot tub here, and the delivery experience was great. Very accommodating when bringing the tub to you and setting it up - as well as going over all the details and setup for the first time. Also pretty efficient. Would recommend them for getting a hot tub.
