Rising Sun initially built our pool back in 2002. 24 years later the pool finally needed a new liner. Talked to Rising Sun about it and they made the entire process so easy. Everyone from initial meeting to the final pick up of the vacuums went perfectly and everyone did an outstanding job. The liner fit perfectly and turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend them for any of your pool needs.
Rising Sun has been around since I was a kid growing up in Raleigh. I talked to four different pool companies, but when Paul came out, he did a great job showing and talking things over about how the process would work, etc. He was very personable and I just got a good feel for him. I will say unlike my first pool there is a lot that goes into this process and it's a wonder they can deal with everything as good as they can/do. My best advice is to ask questions, and Paul has been very good about always getting back to me or having the right person get in touch with me. Like I said building a pool in 2026 is WAY more involved than it was 15 to 20 years ago. I think they do a good job overall and I am happy with my pool. I did a 16 x 36 inground pool. The only thing I would suggest is to have a check list at the end of the process. A check list to go over everything with the customer, everything from registering your pool products, making sure you get all the owner's manuals, etc. I still have a few simple items I am waiting to wrap up, but overall, I give them 5 stars because it is a very involved detailed process, Paul was always just an email away and the other guy's Rick, Nick, Kevin and the lady that helped me pick out a liner and all the subs were great! If i could give 10 stars I would! So far working with Rising Sun Pools has been fantastic. From the first consultation to the dig date, the entire team has been on communicative and responsive to any questions. The investment of a pool can be very overwhelming, this was not our feeling while working with Rising Sun. Any permitting questions …. Been a customer for 5 years… decline in service will ensure me moving to another company. Starting in the fall, had pump problems, turned pump off. Started service request with specific details. Technician visited…no communication…came home pool was running …short inspection showed still had pump problem ..called back and had re-schedule another visit for the same problem ….tech comes out, fixes the problem, communicates, and actually finds another minor problem that he fixed..2 weeks later…2 bills. Called them up explained what’s up they nullified 1st bill …great…I’m sorta of a believer again…A month ago. Pool itself develops a leak, I request service and specific tech from last time…10 days later comes out can’t find problem. Pump is good, lines are good, checks out liner…runs out dye to check more…can find the leak. Informs me his manager will call and let me know the next steps …2 weeks …nothing …I call 3 times, leave messages, was also ensured by staf they he would call me back….nothing…not a peep . pool loses 3 inches of water in 3 days…pool off… turning green which means MORE money …still nothing…if I have to call YOU repeatedly to beg for you do work for me…that’s not going happen…I can’t recommend these people for general service…the one technician…Mario was great and that’s why I gave 2 stars instead of one….get your service done by someone else
They installed my pool, failed to properly backfill and compact the base. They had to come back out to fix a sinking hole at the bottom of the pool that caused a huge crack in the concrete they poured, and my expensive paver patio keeps sinking in spots. We've had to pay to have our entire travertine patio ripped up so that the base can be fixed. We've asked them to just simply come back and fix the backfill issue but they won't respond to our emails, calls, and even a certified letter we sent outlining the issue. Our next step unfortunately is going to have to be hiring an attorney. After going through this, we've unfortunately found several other people who have similar complaints who have been completely ghosted by them after reporting significant problems. I really wish we had gone with another company, and you should consider that when choosing Rising Sun for your own pool.
