Came to this location as a first time pool owner with a water sample and questions. I felt like I was interrupting something and got minimal service. Any question I had was quickly answered as if I was supposed to know the answer. Just felt like I was not important enough to have any effort put towards my assistance. Desided to travel out to another business to get the assistance I needed.
Time came for a new liner and they helped me through contacting the company for my warranty coverage and got me on the schedule early. Once on site all the workers were super nice and diligent in getting the job done. INCLUDING Cleaning up after themselves!
I’ve been dealing with this family business for over thirty nine years!Never had an unpleasant dealing with Tom, Chris or any of his crew. Anytime I had a problem (which was only a few times) he or someone that works there came to check it out and solved it!Best pool place in the capital district.Always courteous and they actually feel like family because of how friendly they all are!I recommend this family owned business highly and wouldn’t go anywhere else for supply’s or correct information on taking care of your pool. They are always ready to help and serve! Thanks Casual Living for all you've done for us through the years!
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free water testing and report printout with recommendations. If you test decently enough, they won't try to sell you anything unnecessary, which I certainly appreciate. Chemical prices are a bit higher than online, which is to be expected. In my mind it's well worth the extra few bucks to make sure you get the job done right.
Very poor experience, walked in to the store to buy a simple filter and a couple of jets. The gentleman that tried to help me looked at my filter and said, sorry I just sold the last one. You're going to have to wait for that. Couldn't tell me how long. Asked about the jets I needed, he asked what they were for, I told him its an older Hawkeye hot tub, he told me there was no way I would find those they don't make them any more, didn't attempt to check a catalog or anything, didn't seem to want to try. So I figured I would look at a new hot tub, seeing as mine is old and out dated, I asked how much a particular hot tub goes for and was told new ones range from 4000-13000 depending on what I want. Rather than give me a price on the one I asked about, the guy was a total jerk. Went to Islander Pools on Route 5, received amazing customer service, and walked out with everything I needed! Filter, jets and chemicals! So much for not being able to get those jets! Your competitor stocks them!, I tried to shop local like I try to do for everything, even if it means paying more. But this place has lost my business completely. I can only hope they get there act together!
