We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Blue Haven Pools! From the very beginning, Don was fantastic to work with. Our backyard has a unique layout with limited space, and we weren’t sure we’d be able to get everything we wanted. Don absolutely nailed the design. He listened to what we were looking for and came up with a layout that fits our yard perfectly while making it look even better than we imagined.

What has impressed us just as much has been the people. Every single crew that has come out to work on our pool has been outstanding—professional, friendly, hardworking, and incredibly skilled. It’s obvious they take pride in their work, and it shows in every step of the process.

Building a pool can be a big investment, so choosing the right company is important. We feel like we made the right choice with Blue Haven. A huge thank you to Don and everyone who has worked on our project. We truly appreciate all of the hard work, and we can’t wait to enjoy our new backyard for years to come!

I waited to write this review - our install was early March 2026. I take these reviews seriously and wanted to provide a very useful review. It is now June 2026. We have been using the pool consistently now for about 3 weeks, thanks to the heater! The water is clear, does not smell like chlorine, does not burn your eyes or make your skin dry. Managing the pump and chemicals is easy now that we have cleaned the filter a few times, and have gone through all the process with a lot of support and help from Blue Haven.
We are very happy with our new Blue Haven pool. We chose the Bliss model and couldn't be happier. There is a side seating that allows for lounging or easy access into or out of pool. There is also a very small ledge on the other side that is perfect for kids getting out of pool. The lights, which has a color changing feature, is a huge hit with the grandkids:)
The pump comes with a phone app to manage the pump. I love it, my husband would have preferred a on/off switch. I can turn on/off the lights, the heater and check status of the pump from anywhere. I find it very convenient.
Don Kuhn was our sales person/designer. He was very thorough with explaining the process and providing options. He provided us with several different design options as well. We were going to try for a 'in-stock' pool and Oct install, but unfortunately, someone tagged the pool before we did. Don offered us a nicer pool at the same price, but we really wanted a rectangular pool.
We were the first installation of the year. The construction team was amazing, and very interesting to watch. Mark, the owner, was onsite for a good portion of it, especially when they were actually putting in the fiberglass shell. He is very hands on. He also came out almost everyday for several weeks to check on the progress and manage the pool chemicals. He even came out and put in our handrail and caulked the drain between old/new concrete himself! They explained the construction process - step by step, and it was exactly what they said. No surprises. They took extra care to make sure the huge crane did not crack our driveway. The actual install was 5 days as they said. The whole process took about a month, however, we did do a change order and added additional concrete. Definitely like the 5' concrete on each side, compared to the base price 3' on each side!
Todd Hartupee, was our "pool" guy. He was very informative and accessible for questions any day of the week!! Once the pool install was done, and water added, Todd came out to show us the pool pump equipment and to explain how it works. We were allowed to video tape it for future reference. We would send him pictures of the test strip and he would tell us what to do until we got used to the process - which was about a month! We also took in a water sample to Blue Haven each week and they assessed the water. After a month, Todd came back for advanced pool school. He showed us how to change our filter and went over the chemical process in more detail. Todd was amazing!!!
We did have one issue where the pool pump breakers would trip and shut off the pump. After a few trips out, they changed the communication wire and breaker. We haven't had a problem since.

We had a fantastic experience having our fiberglass pool installed and couldn’t be happier with the entire process. Don was wonderful to work with from the very beginning. He took the time to explain everything clearly, was honest and forthcoming, and was always friendly, personable, and responsive. Even after the project was complete, he continued to be available whenever we had questions, which meant a lot to us.
Todd was also outstanding. After the pool was installed and while we were waiting for the concrete pool deck, he routinely checked on the pool to make sure the chemicals were properly balanced. When the time came, he taught us everything we needed to know about caring for and maintaining the pool. Since this is our first time owning a pool, his guidance was invaluable. He truly goes above and beyond, even offering to receive text messages if we ever have questions or concerns about keeping the water chemistry right.
You can tell that both Don and Todd genuinely care about doing a great job, providing excellent customer service, and delivering a high-quality product. I’d also like to add that the overall customer service from the office staff has been excellent as well. Every time I’ve called with questions or concerns, the staff has been kind, helpful, responsive, and prompt in returning calls.
We highly recommend this company and are so pleased with both our pool and the people who made it happen.

It has taken me a while to write this review and it has been a few years now that we have had our pool. Don Kuhn was our designer and sales rep. He was great. Always communicated well, and always available when we had questions or concerns. We had neighbors who were a little apprehensive about the construction equipment going through their side of the yard and Don made a special trip to talk to them about all their concerns as well. The construction on our pool started when I was not even in the country, and it still went well. Don sent us pictures every step of the way. Even after our pool was finished - even years later if there’s a question Don is very responsive. We had very few hiccups along the way but honestly, those are a distant memory now when I look at my beautiful pool everyday. Don helped us get our dream pool and it was worth every penny.

Don Kuhn with Blue Haven designed a beautiful gunite pool that fit our family’s needs! From signing the contract through the build process, his team was very informative of each step of the process that was taking place! We were presented all add on options and never felt pushed into anything. We got exactly what we wanted and we’re so excited to make memories in our own backyard for years and years!
