I hired Epic Watershapes, LLC to remodel my pool, including adding a beach entry, new tile, and a marble deck. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing and far below what I was promised.One of the biggest issues was that they started work without obtaining the required permits, even though they were responsible for doing so under our contract. As a result, my property has been exposed to potential code violations, and the project was mishandled from the very beginning.The quality of the work itself has been unacceptable. They left trash and debris on the side of my house for weeks, and I received a Notice of Violation from the city. The workmanship pertaining to their plumbing was sloppy. I asked for them to perform a pressure test on the pipes, but I was told they were unable to do so due to an issue with my spa pump. Two other contractors told me they could have bypassed the spa pump to perform the pressure test.Additionally, the sundeck was not built to proper specifications (1 ft of slope per 7 ft is the code in Florida and they did 22 inches of slope per 7 ft), the pavers are sinking, and the pool tiles were damaged because they used the wrong materials during installation. Some of the tiles are already coming loose and have fallen off. I voiced my concerns to Michael regarding the steep slope of the entry and incorrect adhesive being used. He assured me if they made a mistake, he would make things right. Unfortunately, this was not the case. This is not what I expected from a licensed contractor.Because of these issues, I’ve had to terminate them and will have to bring in another contractor to fix and complete the work—at a significant additional cost. What should have been a straightforward project has turned into a costly and stressful situation.Overall, the work was poorly executed, not up to standard, and will now need to be redone.I cannot recommend Epic Watershapes, LLC based on my experience.
