Early morning delivery!! Guy woke me up to and took me to warehouse. Other side no of parking lot. Easy Unload and Good to go !!
I have never in my life been treated with such rudeness as I was by Paul at Outback Pools and Spas. This man talks like he knows everything, but he is flat-out ignorant and refuses to accept facts. He tried to argue with me that saltwater pools “don’t exist.” Really? NA/CL = chlorine. What makes chlorine? Salt. I don’t care how many years he claims to have been in the business 50 years or 500 that doesn’t make him right, and it certainly doesn’t give him the right to call me “stupid” and treat me with anger and disrespect. To make matters worse, I later learned from his own wife that he has dementia. If that’s the case, then he has no business being on the sales floor, cussing at and belittling customers. Put him in the back to sort inventory or let him retire with dignity but he should not be the face of customer service. On the flip side, the other two guys at this location are actually a pleasure to work with. They’re helpful, kind, and professional. But as long as Paul is out front running people off with his temper and arrogance, I will not be returning. And you can bet I’ll be telling my coworkers at United Regional to take their business elsewhere too.
UPDATE!!!! Workers get a 5. Edited review.A worker called me shortly after posting this review. Apologized for the owner. He went above and beyond by bringing me what I needed. I appreciate this greatly. I will probably return but will not enter the store if the owner is there. I give the workers a 5.I have been going here for 6 years and been greatly pleased with their helpfulness and ability to diagnose problems. However, I will never go again. I went in and was explaining to the guy (who I usually talk to) what had been done the past week since he had been on vacation. I guess it was the owner who got involved in our conversation. He told me that I needed to take responsibility and take care of my pool. He said I had been complaining since walking in and that there was other places I could go. He brought me to tears and I just left. Will never return.
I love this place. I have been using Outback for over 20 years. I first moved here and had a pool and spa. Had zero clue about either one. Started at Leslie’s and they were always short with me and just seemed to want you in and out. Doing Outback and they have computerized water testing equipment and a very friendly staff. The owners are there almost every day and the other staff members take pride in what they do. If your pool is green or cloudy, they tell you what chemicals to put in, and BOOM, fixed! I recently bought a hot tub from them and they delivered it, set it up, and have taken care of me the same as always. Best pool and spa place in town, hands down.
Can’t remember the guys name I talked too, but it started as I figured. They couldn’t work on my specific hot tub ( I knew that, trust me my next will be from them), what I didn’t figure was the awesome service I got that made them absolutely no money in them giving me a full blown lesson to diagnose my issues. Not only did he help me diagnose my problem, they had my part in stock (bc it’s universal). He 100 percent did NOT have to help me like that, I do appreciate good Sir! Just so you know, my hot tub it up, running, and heating right now! Thanks again
