We’re absolutely thrilled with the renovation of our main floor by Jarvis Contracting. James and his team were amazing to work with and were professional, friendly, and really skilled at what they do. The project was finished on time, even with a few unexpected surprises hiding behind our old walls, and with no sacrifice to the quality of workmanship.

James was upfront and honest from day one. He walked us through every issue that popped up (like finding asbestos on our pipes and some precarious electrical work from a previous owner) and clearly explained the costs and rationale behind each fix. We always felt informed and confident in the process.

Now that it’s all done, we couldn’t be happier. The space looks fantastic, and we have peace of mind knowing our home is safe. We’d highly recommend Jarvis Contracting to anyone planning a renovation, big or small. Great people, great work, and an incredible result!

We could not be happier following the main floor renovation of our new home by James and the Jarvis Contracting team! We decided to work with James after seeing his completed projects, receiving an exceptionally detailed quote & glowing references from other clients. Our renovation included removal of structural walls, relocation of the kitchen and fireplace, refinishing staircase & all new lighting & flooring throughout the home. The transformation is beautiful & amazing! Throughout the process, we had full confidence in James & the team who are very skilled and experienced with projects of this size/scope. Their problem solving ability, workmanship and attention to detail is excellent and I would highly recommend Jarvis Contracting for any renovation project you might be considering. My partner and I hired James and his team to renovate our new home; main floor kitchen, paint etc...To start, we are beyond ecstatic with the results. James is highly knowledgeable and always gave us options to help us remain on budget where possible. The quality of the work is a work of art and craftmanship. Most importantly, he and his team and a consistent mindset of always "getting it done right" and "getting it done perfectly" which we appreciated very much. He kept us informed along each milestone and ensured that we were aligned to every decision that had to be made and providing recommendations as well that may be beneficial for us. My partner and I can be very 'particular' and James was very accommodating on all aspects. Thank you James and your team for going above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. I cannot say enough about James and his team. They are respectful, efficient, hard-working and thorough. We consulted James about our basement nightmare, renovated in 1997 as a play area for the kids and used as a huge storeroom from about 2003 to 2023. We kept intending to do something but could not pull the trigger. Finally in December 2023 we asked James to come take a look, along with some other contractors. Working with his designer, after speaking to us about what we liked and didn't like, they presented a plan that the moment we saw it achieved everything we wanted. Then he went ahead and did the job!! Everyone he brought in from plumbers, electricians, tile guys to drywall and tape guys to cabinet companies did everything they could to make us happy and bring that plan to life. We love our space now and have doubled the size of the living area in our home that brings us joy. The fact that James and Ceara bring the practical and the design together, and know how to achieve it, just eliminates so much stress and doubt in the process. So happy we went with Jarvis!
