We've had a long, difficult road with Boyd Construction. And now, months later, they aren't returning my call or my request to come look at the final product they gave us.Let me start with credit where credit is due, however: they have attempted multiple times to make right the mistakes they made, but they haven't succeeded. Every new visit creates a new problem. Their customer service/office support is not supportive or helpful but brash. I can't even get a hold of the owner after paying them $5k. Both the owner and his wife refused even to talk to me on the phone. Wild for a customer service department!Scheduling was difficult. They pressured me to allow their crews to work on Sundays when I had asked them not to on Sundays. After a few delays on their end, they didn't finish the floor refinishing before we moved in (which was massively inconvenient to our move!), without a single admission of fault.The floors didn't turn out well. After messing up the living room floor one time and admitting they needed to redo it, they didn't blend it into the other refinished floors. So a transition was needed. They attempted two more times to blend in a transition, but it's still lumpy and discolored, in a very visible part of our floors.The final coat of polyurethane was applied in two parts due to our having already moved in (and a baby grand piano to shift around), and the sheens are noticeably different though it's the same product; it was just applied with very inconsistent thicknesses.In all, I had asked for a discount for all the heartache and poor product, and the office support simply demanded that they have another shot at fixing it. Four times is enough. We do not recommend their services.
We had a great experience with the team at Boyd construction. Their professionalism, attention to detail and the commitment to make sure our kitchen renovation was done correctly was very appreciated. They were also extremely clean throughout the project. Something a mom of 3 little ones truly appreciated.Thank you Boyd!
Very disappointed with the work of Boyd Construction. They stained our doors the wrong color and then quoted us 3x the original quote to redo the work to make it right. You can see the huge difference in the stain match in the pictures. The sample they claimed to match were obviously not close to anything in our home.We will have to find another company to complete the work, as Boyd does not stand behind their work.
Boyd recently remodeled my kitchen, master bath, and guest bath. They did a tremendous job and were very efficient and thorough. Steve, the owner, is very detail oriented and laid out the plans accurately and quickly for his well trained crews to follow. He regularly checked on the progress and reviewed different changes that came up along the way. The foreman and crew leader Adam also was extremely well versed in contruction and very pleasant to deal with. These guys got started early and finished early, leaving my family very happy with the outcome. As a Realtor, my standards are high for service when it comes to help in my own home, and these guys delivered. Will recommend again and refer to clients in the future! Thank you Boyd Construction.
I have used Boyd construction 2 times to do remodeling at my home. The first time to remodel a bathroom from floor to ceiling. I was so pleased 4 months later I hired them to do my entire house; kitchen, 2nd bathroom, living room... floor to ceiling. We couldn’t have been happier! They came in the morning, worked 8 hours, cleaned up and came back the next morning and did it again till the job is done. Over and over we were so pleased with quality of workmanship. His prices are very fair. I saw some advertised specials from other companies and Boyd’s had beaten their price. We had some hidden plumbing issues, he could’ve given me high price because of the circumstances. But know he was extremely fair on fixing the problems. Once you use Boyd construction you won’t go anywhere else.
