I wanted a kitchen remodel that would not only update, but make cabinets more accessible and correct a few bottlenecks. DeWald was able to deliver! I’m amazed at how they were able to remove a peninsula and save it to extend the cabinets. This also created space for an extra pull out cabinet for 2 trash bins. No more getting on hands and knees to reach the back of the bottom cabinets - They added deep drawers for the lower cabinets for pots and pans. They created a coffee bar with the same quartz countertop that coordinates nicely with the rest of the cabinets.
The doorway to the dining room was narrow. They widened the doorway creating a roomy passage that will be nice when entertaining or family gatherings.
In the back part of the house, I had them add an outside door to a bedroom. They were able to take out the window, cut out part of a brick wall and finish off with a door and storm door to allow easy access to the back yard.
DeWald’s crew was amazing. They were courteous, respectful, willing to listen, and very trustworthy. I was able to set a code for them to come in and work even when I wasn’t home. They were highly skilled in everything they did. They were even able to match texture where we modified areas. When necessary, they chose top quality subcontractors with impeccable attention to detail. The bid process was easy and transparent, and they even talked me through ways to conserve and save money. I had 2 project managers at different times, and I was impressed with the communication. They were always available to answer questions and checked in often. Haha, and they didn’t even bat an eye with the quirky cabinet knobs and joyful colors we chose! I highly recommend this company for all your remodeling needs.

Before DeWald, we tried remodeling our bathroom after some water damage, but had to stop the work because we weren’t satisfied with the quality. I greatly appreciated DeWald’s assessment because they offered reasonable solutions at a good price. I’m satisfied with the end product of our bathroom because it’s pretty and usable. I appreciated that they were focused on the quality of each part of the bathroom (marble, drywall, paint, trim, electrical, and fixtures). There are some small paint touchups we need to do due to some accidental scuffing.

I found it easy to work with them and their contractors because I work from home so I was very available to let them in at anytime. But if you don’t work from home, I recommend offering times when you can open up your home. I did appreciate their communication on when people were coming in to focus on each stage of the renovation. I’m satisfied with the quality and will use them again for my upstairs bathroom renovation!
