Our 1997 bathrooms were outdated and were beginning to show their age. My wife and I bounced around with ideas for the last decade, and we have proven the old adage, "good things come to those who wait."Ten years ago, we would have opted to subcontract out replacing sinks, countertops, and paint. Now we were looking to do much more - move walls, cabinets, remove a jacuzzi we never use, while updating into a fresh, modern color palette. My best line out of the "Dirty Harry" movie is not "Make my day!" Instead, it is "A man's got to know his limitations." I knew what we wanted to accomplish in our 2 bath remodels was way beyond my limitations! Thus, we started shopping for a contractor for a turnkey job.We made inquiries and interviewed with finalist. We finally decided on Acadian. We were immediately pleased with the diligence, experience, knowledge and patience their planning staff exhibited. They always made us feel that we were the most important people they would work with that day. They listened, offered suggestions, and found ways to make even our unique desires a reality on paper. They produced detailed, documented plans that covered every aspect of the remodeling. The project lead then went through the entire booklet page-by-page to ensure that every measurement, paint color and floor tile was accounted for.The construction manager, project lead and designer did a final walkthrough before construction began. As always, attention to detail was noted as thick paper floor coverings were laid down to ensure the rest of the house was minimally impacted by the construction.The construction crews arrived on schedule, each performing their specific roles in an orchestrated fashion. Almost without exception, the right crew arrived at the right time with the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their appointed tasks. The crew worked confidently and hard. All were polite and friendly, and displayed a desire to deliver excellence.That is not to say that everything went swimmingly - there were some learning curves both sides experienced. We went with large format tiles in the guest bath. While that produced the desired look, we quickly learned that large tiles are very unforgiving when applied over existing wall studs. The initial install had noticeable alignment concerns, but to Acadians' credit they did not hesitate to remove and replace the errant tiles. Their expertise ultimately shown through and the resulting shower wall installation was excellent.The tile work that would soon commence in the master bathroom was going to be far more complex though. At that point I had the tile installment lead review the master bath, only to find the studs there also had minor fluctuations that could result in similar concerns with the big format tile. We therefore compromised to use a standard tile.Finally, when we signed the contract Acadian told us to expect 3 months for job completion - not that it would take that long, but it could. That might seem like a long-time considering commercials that guarantee "you'll have a new bathroom in day." One must understand that such is not reality in a comprehensive remodeling job. Acadian applies "slow and steady wins the race."We have been very pleased with the final outcome as it has exceeded our expectations.

My parents had their kitchen remodeled in 2022. The kitchen is perfect. It’s beautiful and modern. However, there was an area were they took out a sink. To cut the high pressure water they just squeezed the pipe when they took the sink out. We just found out it’s been leaking for almost 3 years. We noticed when we saw water leaking from between the outside brick and foundation after we took some monkey grass out. The pipe was actively leaking when we discovered it today. We will be having the mold tested. There is black mold all inside the wall. Judy and Gary Owens kitchen.
