We had a fantastic experience working with Emmanuel and Buildmark on our small bathroom remodel. From start to finish, he and his team were professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly respectful of our home.
The tile work is absolutely beautiful: precise, clean, and expertly done. Emmanuel clearly takes pride in his craftsmanship, and it shows in the final result. His team kept the workspace tidy every day and made a real effort to minimize dust and disruption, which we really appreciated.
Communication was excellent throughout the project. Emmanuel was always open to conversation, listened carefully, and made sure we felt comfortable with every decision. He was also flexible in taking on a few additional small projects and even offered helpful suggestions about other areas of our home.
His pricing is very fair for the quality of work he delivers. I would absolutely recommend Emmanuel and Buildmark and would gladly work with him again. Que viva Romania!

I had water damage in a rental unit in Berkeley that affected the bathroom and bedroom. It was a tricky project with moisture concerns in a unit that was below grade. I need it repaired quickly but I also wanted it done well so there wouldn’t be any problems in the future. Emanuel and BuildMark Construction delivered. He did an excellent job — on time and on budget. During the process, he identified problems with the previous build and fixed them. He recommended appropriate materials for durability and quality. He communicated clearly when important decisions needed to be made and always deferred to my preference without any push back. He also followed through on every last detail, even when there were a bunch of extra add-ons that surfaced at the end of the project. In the end, the bathroom is gorgeous and even more importantly, I know it is well built to last. Emanuel was a pleasure to work with. My project was on the smaller side but I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again for a larger construction project in the future. Highly recommended.

BuildMark completed a few projects for us including a kitchen remodel and whole-house electrical upgrade for our 100-year-oldish home. Emanuel and his team are very kind, courteous, realistic, responsive, and take a lot of pride in their work. Emanuel has a lot of experience working on homes and is wonderful with advice and helping to troubleshoot or brainstorm issues. I’m fairly particular :) and can spend some time going back-and-forth with details and he was always very patient and understanding. Our house is beautiful thanks to his hard work. We love the kitchen, the interior painting, and appreciate that our electrical is upgraded and up to code. We are looking forward to working with him and his team again!

Emanuel was very lovely to work with! The project was completed in the expected time frame, the details were thoughtful (he matched the pattern of the wood floor with the rest of the house), and he was always helpful in answering questions as things progressed. It was nice to know that he had lots of experience with similar redesigns since we didn't have much experience with layout or details. He even helped out with some other difficulties we were having with our heater which wasn't a part of his project.
