After talking about remodeling our kitchen and living room for a few years, we decided that it was time to upgrade our living spaces into something that reflected our style. We had heard positive reviews from an acquaintance who built with Plain View + Build, and after meeting with the team and beginning the initial process, we decided to go with this incredible company. Our family of 5 continued living in our house during the approximate 8-week large remodel, which involved removing a wall in between the kitchen and living room, and replacing almost everything in the space. We also decided to remodel the laundry room and half bath as well. While living in the space during the remodel was intrusive as expected, it honestly was not a hardship. Our neighbors frequently commented at how quiet the project was. Communication was always timely, and the team was patient with our indecisiveness. Everyone at Plain View + Build was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, which helped guide us along the way. We were thrilled about the new look and design layout of our kitchen while keeping our appliances in their same locations. We enjoyed working with the entire team on the design, and watching our inspirations come to life with such beauty and high-quality materials. Our project was mostly completed ahead of time; however, we did have some backordered material which meant our laundry room (although functional) was behind schedule one month. The Plain View team and subcontractors were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of our privacy throughout the remodel. We built our house and finished our basement with two other local contractors/subcontractors, and our experience with Erin, Tanner, Kayla, Logan, and Travis (our dog’s favorite team member) was better than the first two experiences combined. We found ourselves initially dreading this project, thinking we would get lost in the shuffle as we felt we did with building and finishing the basement. We never felt way or felt our project wasn’t a high priority and appreciated that with this team. We would not hesitate to recommend Plain View + Build, and plan to have them remodel our bathrooms in the future.

This wasn't new construction but a kitchen full of old butter stains and love and they dove right in ready to help me make it my own. We had Plain View complete our kitchen / dining room / living room remodel. They did a fantastic job every step of the way. The design was laid out well - we had a lot of collaboration in this area and they were able to take our vision and make it come to life! The project went really quickly and we felt like progress was made every time someone was at our house. The site was always left very clean as well.
Communication was always honest, open, and professional. We felt comfortable asking questions about budget details or if something didn’t look quite right during construction. They always responded in a timely matter with expertise. My husband and I are both engineers so we are very detail oriented and picky. Plain View met and exceeded our expectations!!

When we decided to build a house, we wanted it to be everything we ever wished we had, and include all the things over the years that we loved about our other houses. Things like a south facing driveway, large open living spaces, a modern aesthetic, phenomenal views, an art studio, and outdoor spots to enjoy North Dakota's summers. The process we went through with Plain View Designs was so creative and fun. They got to know us and really spent time being thoughtful about the design. They took into consideration the build site and how we could maximize the views and sun, but minimize wind. They even helped us plan out a place to hide our garbage cans. We wanted simple yet dreamy and that's exactly what we got. They are absolute artists when it comes to modern design.
