Can't recommend Heartland enough. Worth the wait. Signed the contract in July 2023 and we knew the estimated wait was 12 months. They started work July 2024 and completed in exactly 4 months. Estimate was 4-6 months. The project was a 16 x 24 home addition and 14 x 16 covered deck.

We built our home with another custom builder. (Before we discovered Heartland) It was a completely different and better experience with Heartland. Communication was fantastic throughout the whole journey with Heartland: updates, small issues, change orders, project billing, etc.

All Heartland workers are very friendly and courteous. My neighbors stopped by frequently to say how nice the workers were and how fast they were making progress.

We selected Heartland after interviewing three builders. We knew we needed more living space, but was not sure how to accomplish it. Heartland/Adam was the only builder able to draw out options to achieve it at no cost. We were most impressed by Adam and Heartland's reputation. All three builders costs were in the same ballpark, and more importantly, Heartland completed the project on the mutually agreed budget and delivered a project we are very happy with.

Side notes: always go with the products that Adam recommends. I was on the fence about our deck railings and windows, but the quality is vastly noticeable. Well worth it.
They did a great job of only damaging the lawn/sprinklers where required for construction. They did a great job fully repairing it at project completion.
Area of improvement: I was not impressed by HVAC subcontractor. Heartland stayed on top of them though and no issues with final product.

They are very professional, efficient, quality work and keep the worksite clean every day. If you are getting quotes for a project, you cannot go wrong choosing Heartland! Their ideas are fantastic, their quote is reasonable and you a quality product.

Once construction got started Adam and crew were a pleasure to work with. Our outdoor room looks exactly like it was rendered and there were no major construction hiccups that were not weather related. One minor complaint is that I wish there would have been a little more coordination between all contractors on our project. Dealing with three different ones (outdoor room, pool and landscaper) became somewhat of a challenge, especially in the final stages.

Heartlands installed a screen room on our covered back porch: They removed the supporting beams because they were not close enough to meet code, installed Geodeck composite decking, installed aluminum railing, floor to ceiling screens, two outdoor ceiling fans, and an outdoor tabletop propane heater. They also removed the existing porch railing and a metal circular staircase that had been cut into the back porch by the previous owner.

It went beautifully. We had scheduled appointments for estimates with three different companies, and had already met with one before we talked with Larry Brost. The first company had given us a bid of almost $20,000 for just a screen room, which did not include replacing the supporting beams or existing floorboards. They were just going to lay plywood over the existing boards, which we would then have had to find some way to protect from the weather. They were also going to install only one ceiling fan on the porch. Larry gave us a bid for approximately half their price, but it included replacing the supporting beams, the existing floorboards with no-maintenance composite boards, two ceiling fans and a propane heater. We were impressed by his honesty, his knowledgeability, and his suggestions to keep the overall costs down. For example, we had been thinking about having a three season room instead of a screen room, but he advised that would cost a good deal more and we wouldn't get that much more use out of it as opposed to a screen room. After talking with him, my husband told me to cancel the third appointment, we had found the company to do the job. Larry kept us informed as to when his crews would be at our house, and they showed up promptly as promised. The only delays were due to things like weather which were beyond his control. The crews were polite, professional and cleaned up the work site at the end of each day.
We love our new screen room. The fans make a HUGE difference when the weather is warmer. We haven't had a chance to use the heater yet since it hasn't been cold enough, but I was shown how to turn it works when they first brought it out and it is very simple to use and generates quite a bit of heat. I think we have used our back porch more in the past month than we have in the past five years combined, and we're already thinking that we should have the same thing done with our front porch. I highly recommend this company.
