I contacted Remi for a basement remodel quote. When he arrived, he was friendly and spent about an hour in the basement, which I appreciated. He told me he would follow up with a quote by Friday. When I didn’t receive the quote, I followed up the next Tuesday with no response. I followed up again that Friday; Remi responded and said I would have it by Saturday at the latest. When I still didn’t receive the quote, I followed up one last time the following Monday. It has now been over 2.5 weeks since Remi visited our home to scope the project, and over 2 weeks past the original quote deadline that he set for himself. At no point did he proactively communicate delays or provide updated timelines. While Remi seemed friendly and knowledgable, given the scope and cost of a basement remodel, reliable communication and follow-through is essential. Unfortunately, repeated missed deadlines and lack of proactive follow-up made this experience frustrating and ultimately unworkable. Based on this experience, he may do quality work, but clients should be prepared to actively manage timelines or be comfortable with unbounded delays.

I have only the most positive things to say about Remi. We had URB do fairly extensive renovation work in our new home prior to us moving in, which included a full gut rehab of the kitchen, installing a pantry shelf, redoing a fireplace, converting a large bedroom into two smaller ones, refinishing floors and painting all the interior walls. It was great working with Remi on the kitchen design (we did not use another architect/designer) - he was very helpful in converting our ideas into what was practical and also did several rounds of renderings for us. He was extremely responsive throughout the whole process, which was very reassuring. All of this was amid the pandemic as well, and so we were worried that the work wouldn’t get done due to supply and labor shortages. However, Remi got everything wrapped up within 2 months and we couldn’t be more happy with the work they did. He’s been very responsive even after the work was complete to help us out with a couple of more things in the home. I would happily recommend him and his work for any home projects you want to get done, large or small.

Remi & his team surpassed all of my expectations! They were wonderful to work with & Remi was very responsive to any questions I had throughout the process! You can tell his team is very dedicated in what they do! They did a gut rehab of my condo and the whole process went smoothly! His ideas were invaluable! He played an instrumental role in the kitchen design and provided alot of insight on what is trending! We always could lean on Remi’s recommendations and advice! I’m so happy to have found URB Remodeling. From start to finish I couldn’t be happier. I worked with Remi and he came up with a plan to not only upgrade but redesign our kitchen for better functionality, storage space and just the look of the space in general. He showed us ideas of layouts we didn’t even know were possible. All while staying within our budget. The workers were prompt and clean and did an amazing job. Remi was attentive through the entire process, he even went as far as speaking to me after normal business hours, while I was trying to figure out something regarding the appliances I was getting when the employee at the appliance store didn’t have the answer.
