Amazing quality and crew. I can recommend based on my experience and, as I work from home, I had a front-row seat for the entire operation. I like my solitude, so I was not looking forward to having strangers in my house, but this crew needs to be on HGTV. I was impressed. My full, honest, review:Pros(1) Quality work. My bath remodel included a much larger shower requiring re-centering the drain in a concrete pad which required some tough chiseling and recentering the pipes in the walls. That’s some tough work that many of us don’t see. Kudos to the electrician who checked for a pipe before cutting. It required a quick design change at last minute, but he averted a disaster. Countertops, cabinets, tiling – all excellent quality finishes.(2) Clean. The project leader has now vacuumed my den more than I have. First thing upon arrival they roll out the paper to protect the floors. Then every evening they roll it back up, put tools away, vacuum, then give the dogs a pet and a quick toss of the ball before leaving.(3) Respectful. One of them says “Yes ma’am” in a southern accent that melts even the coldest hearts (mine) and made me wish I was 20 years younger. But more than words they’re respectful of your home, time, and deadline. They even fed the dogs when I had to be away.(4) Quiet(ish) – If I had to jump on a conference call they worked as quietly as possible. I still have no idea how they managed to “drill quietly”. No loud music was blaring. No loud conversations were held during the entire project. Never did their work interrupt my work. (Full disclosure, I did listen in to a few of their private conversations which, for some tough construction guys, were unexpectedly wholesome.)Cons(1) I can’t say with certainty, but statistically, there must have been at least one with a criminal record. However, as a single woman, I never felt uncomfortable with any of them, and nothing went missing. In fact, I’d say I felt too comfortable with these guys because I did leave a few too many “questionable” items out in the open that would put me in jail. No snitches either so that’s a bonus.(2) Seriously, what’s with all the vacuuming at the end of the day? At times I did wonder if they were trying to imply my housekeeping skills were not up to their standards.(3) They set the bar too high for me to consider any other contractors for future projects.(4) I have to say goodbye. These guys became like brothers to me. I have no reason to put on the pot of coffee in the morning, my dogs look like they’ve lost their best friends, and the house feels a lot emptier now. 5 Star did more than remodel the bathroom - they renovated my heart.
5 Star Construction is definitely a 5 Star company. They have done major remodel jobs at both our home and business. They are working amazing and easy to work with, very reasonable on pricing and the quality of work is top notch, we have never had a complaint. The owners are very knowledgeable and skilled and their attention to detail is perfection. I would and always recommend them for any job big or small. They are a busy, hands on company, they do not contract out the work so the wait for them might be a little longer but it is well worth it.
We absolutely LOVE these guys! They repaired one of our bathrooms a couple of years ago after we had some water/mold damage, and did such a great job that we called them back out when we decided it was time to completely gut and remodel our other bathroom this year. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy and will work within your budget. They're also all super friendly, trustworthy, and are just plain good people. We are planning to do some more work on our house in the future and they will be our first (and probably only) call!
Shane and Alex have done several jobs for me and several people I have recommended them to. I rarely recommend people because its a lot of pressure but in the case of 5-Star I have not hesitated. I started using them when I needed a full house renovation. Floors, cabinets, fireplace hearth, bathroom remodel...the works. I got 4 quotes and when they got to my house they spend much more time than the others understanding what I wanted and bringing up the things I hadnt thought about. In the end I chose them and from the beginning of the project to the end, they made it the best they could. From helping me choose products (endless choices) to helping me move items out of a room they were not even working on to dealing with my crazy dog with kid gloves, they were phenomenal. So of course when I needed some window work and my back yard renovated and my garage door worked on, I went straight to them. They not only do great work but are great people which is a major factor for me. Trust them with my home every time!
5 stars isn’t near enough. These guys are AWESOME to work with. Started with a very detailed, professional quote with all line items for material, labor, etc., etc. They stayed with the project from start to completion. Went above and beyond to help with a couple of things that they didn’t have to do. I will be recommending these guys to everyone I know. Thank you Shane, Alex, Aaron and the others I can’t remember names. ??????
