The Novero team completed our interior and exterior home renos in the fall of 2026. When we reached out to Joele re: our ensuite reno he took the time to tour our home and ask us about our wish list and future plans for the house. Joele provided a comprehensive quote which helped us prioritize our renos within our budget and family’s needs. In the end we have a dream ensuite with herringbone tile floors, new powder room, a luxe (as some of the trades stated!) laundry room and new updated exterior!Much credit goes to the expertise and professionalism of the Novero project team: Jill, Matt and Merle; and the skilled trades! Jill was our amazing and down to earth designer who incorporated our taste and vision into the interior and exterior designs. She guided us through the design process and answered our questions along the way. We also appreciate the extra effort she made to meet on several occasions with Stephanie from Budget Blinds to help with window treatment selections. Matt, project manager, coordinated the trades’ schedules, addressed our questions/concerns promptly and thoughtfully provided options to ensure we were satisfied with the outcomes. We appreciated Merle, our site supervisor’s great sense of humour; his patience and expertise calmed us during the little bumps we experienced along the way. As we were living in our basement during this time we quickly learned to expect the unexpected when doing renos. It was also great to find out that Novero has long term relationships with many of their vendors and skilled trades. We enjoyed getting to know the trades all of whom were courteous, kind and respectful. A special shout out to Oleg who installed the tiles. His excellent craftsmanship shows in his quality of work especially the herringbone floors and his custom made soap dispensers!Each member of Novero (including their admin staff) contributed greatly to this project! We appreciate Joele and Suzanne for checking in with us throughout the project to ensure we were happy with the progress. Novero was one of the most professional companies we’ve ever worked with. They provide you with all the costs upfront and work with you to manage your budget. Their work was fantastic and they were so helpful with design and ideas for elevating our space. We had planned to do the work while we were away and we returned to everything finished perfectly. The smartest decision my wife and I made was choosing Novero to do our renovation. The kitchen of our 30-year-old condo suite had seen better days. We were not looking to renovate to sell, we wanted a kitchen that would last, added value, efficiency and usability. Renovation was a first.We followed the best practices recommended by the Home Builders Association Vancouver and the Canadian Home Builders Association British Columbia. We sought those being a member in good standing with them, that they be RenoMark certified by the Canadian Home Builders Association, be a BBB Accredited Business by the Better Business Bureau of Canada and be in good standing, and complete some due diligence checks. We always support and seek out local businesses to buy and obtain services from the TriCities and Ridge Meadows area. Novero is a long-time family business contractor originally in Ridge Meadows but now in Poco.Novero has a great team to work with. Things start Erica who helps guide you through defining what you want to do, getting your questions answered, and form the start of the engagement process with Novero. Trust in Erica, she knows it all. Then you’ll meet the boss, Joele. He’ll visit you at the site and talk with you, see the layout, and take back with him what he needs to form an estimate for you. Trust him, very personable, lots of experience, and runs a trusted and successful business. He’ll answer all your questions. Quote (cost and duration) was within the high-level ranges first offered when we started this process, and was pretty close to what the ending cost was. And they were in the same range as other contractors that met our requirements and that we obtained quotes from.I think what ultimately has us recommending Novero is that beyond the results, which were fantastic, it is the people. Joele has a team you feel you can trust, and their results, and engagement, validates that. Our designer was Lindsay. She comfortably walked us through choices we made, ensured we considered different aspects, colours, finishes, etc, etc, and the result when finished was awesome. Just what we wanted. Matt was our project manager and kept the work going with great pace and finished everything a bit ahead of schedule. Tim was the lead carpenter there most every day, and the gentle giant with a big smile and a friendly presence made for a much less stressed experience and he ensures the Novero quality and finish are met. Novero does their own countertop and back-splash tile work. You’ll meet Frank (the whistling Italian), and his son. The maestro’s tile work alone is a symphony. Novero having this work in-house ensures great quality and a more efficient renovation effort.Novero uses many longtime trades who are great, and efficient, and their coordinated effort also contributes to the resulting quality and productive project schedule. Wall boarding, flooring and substrate, painter, electrician, plumber and millwork. All friendly and professional. Whether it is Novero staff, or a contracted trade, they are all a family, a choir. Novero has millwork produced by a company they have long dealt with and produces quality cabinets and trim regardless of the size of the project. Our renovation was not going to be the biggest on Novero’s busy schedule. But the finished work by Novero and their trades looks as good any of the fabulous photos of their bigger projects, and we felt our experience was no less a total and professional effort that any of their other clients receive. Novero has a secret weapon, call him the ‘appliance whisperer’. He specializes in the installation of appliances and electronics. Not an original trade for him, he has he magical skills (and tools) that get those tall and connected side-by-side separate fridge-freezer units into to those tight spaces. Ensure Novero installs our appliances. Buy from Trail, but rely on the ‘Whisperer’.You can put your trust in Novero. We did.
We inquired our backyard upgrade with Novero. I did a lot of research before I started looking for the contractor. We really liked that they provide a design service, this is part of the service which you need to pay small upfront fee, but this gets deducted from overall construction budget. For me, I liked having this service as I don't need to worry about any miscommunications. They stuck with initial quote and once the construction began they moved along very quickly.Easy to work with and they were very professional. I highly recommend Novero and we will be working again in the future for my kitchen reno project. Attached before and after pictures for the reference.
We were ready to tackle our first significant home reno project and naturally I was nervous about finding the right people to trust with our home and our money. We are the type of people who start our search at the Better Business Bureau and read every review we can find online before contacting anyone.I loved every step of the process with Novero. From my first inquiry email and phone calls with Erica (an absolute rock star as a first contact with the company), to the initial site measurements with Cody (so patient and friendly with my endless questions), to my design meetings with Jill (a style queen and a sweetheart all in one), to our project getting underway with our site manager, Matt (no question, request, text, or email was ever answered with anything less than a prompt, positive, friendly, can-do attitude), to every sub-contractor that was truly a pleasure to work with, and last but not least to Deanna, who was always smiling and ready to help at the design office when I would stop by.Novero has assembled an impressive team of people who are really good at their jobs. It's truly rare to work with a business that is so organized, professional, courteous, thorough, and patient with clients from beginning to end.
