I visited the showroom at Pacific Living Contracting, where Al was helpful in guiding me to select solid maple wood beams for my fireplace mantels and floating shelves. The beams were beautifully customized with hand-scraped texture and finished with a durable coating.

Delivery and initial installation went smoothly and on time. However, the caulking where the beams met the wall wasn't applied as neatly as I'd hoped, so I had my own contractor redo that portion. There was also a noticeable blemish on one of the living room beams, but when I raised it with Al, he promptly sent his experienced finisher to perform touch-ups, which resolved the issue satisfactorily.

Overall, the craftsmanship on the wood beams was great. Al and his team were responsive to follow-up requests, and the project was completed with good communication.

We had an awesome experience with Al! He was on top of all the details and getting everything done in an efficient manner- I never wondered when I would see a contractor, he kept me informed throughout the whole project. Everybody showed up when he said they would and they were great! Al was also so helpful in picking our materials. I don’t think our final result would have turned out as well without his guidance. The beautiful mantel and hearth just completed the look. I highly recommend working with Al, from start to finish, we felt like we were in capable hands. We are thrilled with the end result!

He explained all the work that would be involved—tiles, electrical, plumbing, drywall, etc.—in detail, which really helped us understand the process.

The work started about a week after our first discussion. Al has a fantastic team, and what I really appreciated is that he brings in specialists for each part of the job. For example, the tile work was handled by one expert, while a different person took care of the drywall. He doesn't rely on the same person to do multiple tasks, which ensures high-quality workmanship.

One of the biggest advantages of working with Al is how clearly he lays out all the options and their prices upfront. That way, you can make choices that fit both your style and your budget. He also has a deep understanding of design—whether it’s picking the right tile color, the type of quartz to use, or the style of glass for the shower, his suggestions were spot-on.
