We could not be more thrilled by the work completed by Design, Remodel, and Painting with Purpose on our historic home in Old Town Georgetown as we prepared to put our house on the market. From start to finish, their communication was outstanding—clear, timely, and always professional. Every member of the team carried themselves with the same professionalism, respect, and care, making the entire process smooth and stress-free.The scope of work on our 1920s home was significant, but the results went above and beyond. They sealed our metal roof and replaced 380 sheet-metal screws, tackled extensive wood-rot remediation on the siding, fascia, and stairs, added custom guttering, installed and replaced custom concrete skirting, completed a full exterior repaint with beautifully selected custom colors, and handled several handyman projects along the way. Each task was executed with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. What impressed us most was how perfectly they captured our vision. They preserved and enhanced the historic character of our home, bringing out its best features without compromising its charm. Their work didn’t just prepare our property for market—it played a critical role in helping us sell our house at a profit. We highly recommend Design, Remodel, and Painting with Purpose to anyone looking for a team that brings professionalism, talent, and genuine care to every project. They exceeded our expectations in every way.
Aaron and his crew did an amazing job with our master bath remodel. He was communicative and flexible with all the moving parts of the process, I so appreciated that. No question was too small and he was diligent about making sure I was happy. Each person was professional, conscientious, and helpful figuring things out, especially Rolando and Eloy. These jobs involve making a thousand decisions and everyone was patient and had a lot of knowledge and experience to offer.
Aaron and his crew did a great quality job on the interior of our new barndominum home. They hung cabinets, doors and did expert trim work through. The fireplace and wall tile were beautifully installed. They painted our previous home and removed the popcorn ceilings and also did a terrific job. They truly care and worked so hard to make everything perfect! Their prices are exceptional, they showed up on time every day and followed our directions to a tee. We are very happy with everything! They have a client for life in me.
I live in an 1895 Victorian house, and these older homes can be challenging to paint, especially if they have lots of gingerbread trim and a 6-color paint scheme! Having seen a similar vintage house down the street being painted a few years ago by Painting with Purpose, I was impressed by their care and attention to detail, and again with how well the paint job has held up.I spoke to other past customers who uniformly gave positive references. Our experience has been equally satisfying. The crew chief, Beto, kept me informed every day, and contacted me any time a question or issue arose. They were careful of my landscaping, and maintained a neat job site. The final results speak for themselves.I would not hesitate to hire them again, and recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who needs painting done.
I would like to add a 2022 Interior Painting review, four years after my first review:This is the second time that Painting with Purpose transformed my home. In 2018 they painted the entire exterior of my house. (See review below). This time I needed my oldest's child's room to become my new guest room. The room was painted two shades of blue 14 years ago.Aaron replied in under 5 minutes after I texted him, and I spoke with Beto, the painter, not long after. Beto came out to the house the next day to look everything over, and then he and Jose were at my door at 8:30 the next morning. It only took a day and a half to finish the job, so by Thursday around lunch time I had a whole new room. I love it!Let me tell you about painting over two different colors of paint. Aaron explained this to me in a text :"When you tape a line over walls there's a different paint level from one color to the next and painting over that line doesn't make the line go away. Paint mimics what's underneath it. Usually that paint line difference needs to be floated with mud and then blended with new texture. That's my experience 90% of the time."I tested that theory by painting primer over the line that evening, and darned if you couldn't still see that little ridge of paint where the two colors meet. Even if the whole room were repainted, I could see how that line would still be visible. So, I told him to go ahead and make it right, as I wanted to finally have a well-painted room.Beto and Jose were very careful protecting my carpet and wrapping my ceiling fan in a plastic drop cloth. They painted the ceilings in both the room and the closet and primed the walls two times, including the lower half of the room a THIRD time to hide that dark blue. All of the trim was previously painted with oil-based paint. It had to be sanded, primed, and then painted with water-based enamel. This included the inside and outside of both doors, including the trim. Afterwards, they caulked the baseboards, door trim, window and window sill for me - and that makes the whole room look much better.I am so grateful to Aaron, Beto and Jose for the outstanding job they did. I highly recommend Painting with Purpose if you are looking for a company that you can trust to do a professional job in your home. Thanks guys!2014 Review: (Exterior House Painting)I love my house again! I had the exterior of my house painted by Painting with Purpose, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them. (2,400 sq ft, 1-story, 3-sides brick)Aaron's estimate was very thorough. He went through everything that needed to be repaired and how to prevent future rotten wood. Once I got on his schedule I felt like I was his only customer. Scott came out to replace a rotten door jamb on my side yard door and one entire row of siding on the back of the house. He also installed rain diverters on the roof over that side door and the air conditioning unit, since I don't have gutters. Casey power-washed my ENTIRE home, plus the concrete sidewalk, patio, and driveway. Let me tell you, it was worth the relatively small additional cost to have EVERYTHING clean on my 41-yr old house. Debbie, Tom and Casey came to do all the painting, with two colors, and it only took two days. They covered everything and got no over-spray on my bricks. That was very important to me. They asked me to come do a walk-through as they were finishing, to make sure that I was 100% satisfied. After a couple of very minor touch-ups (I'm VERY detail-oriented), I was!Aaron even arranged for me to have a length of gutter installed over my French doors in the back to avoid future rotten wood. I now have a lovely rain chain that I really love. If you are looking for a top-notch, very professional, very knowledgeable company, look no further. The fact that Aaron donates a portion of the cost to a charity for children is just plain nice. He's a decent and fair human being. Thank you so much!
