Excellent and honest home builder. My home was built in the beginning of winter but we had an unusually warm November and they got the basement in much faster than expected. Hagen offered to refund me some of the home price, but we settled on finishing a room and bath in the named instead. Keep in mind I would've never known or questioned this. A year later he noticed my garage roof forming icicles (I installed and was running a hanging gas furnace in the garage). He drove by frequently to go to his other builds nearby and noticed. He informed me I needed some blow in insulation over the garage ceiling to run a heater like that. He quoted me and got the blow in done within days. I was there one day when shower inserts were going in. The team installing those rejected a shower insert due to some cracks. Quality and honesty are the key tenets of Hagen Construction.
I've known Mike Hagen, many years. The first house I bought was a spec home. He allowed us to pick flooring, colors, cabinets and a few other things as the build was still taking place. We lived in that home over 9 years and then had Hagen Construction build us another home. We downsized on square footage, but put the house on more acreage. These are some of the photos from late 2020 when we broke ground. We have had a great working relationship. You always know what's going on and he tells the truth! Highly Recommend!
We recommend Hagen Construction anytime we hear someone is looking for a new home. We are currently building our second home with them! Our first build is beautiful and we didn't hesitate to go directly to Mike Hagen when we were ready to build again. His prices are more than fair (better than every other option we looked at), his process is the easiest of any we looked at because he offers an option for builder held construction loans. Thats a game changer for middle income families to get into a new build homes! We were able to customize everything we wanted, we changed the floor plan to suit our needs and upgraded most of the interior features as we wished. Highly recommend!
