Riva Construction

We contracted Riva to do a complete renovation in our condo. They took time to understand our project and design style. They were thoughtful in their approach to transforming our home. It was a great experience thanks to the project manager and the various trades they contracted. We were thrilled with the results and would happily work with Riva on a future projects.

I truly cannot say enough kind words about Matt and his team at Riva. They were extremely honest and communicative, and were always available to discuss anything we might have questions on. If there were ever any issues or delays (and there weren't many - a testament to their planning and project management), they let us know within hours of it becoming apparent. My wife and I love our beautiful new home. Thank you so much!

I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Riva Construction to anyone seeking a home builder they can trust. I recently had my one-of-a-kind, custom home built by Riva Construction in Hammonds Plains, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the entire process from beginning to end. From day one, the Riva team was approachable, responsive, and maintained clear, open communication throughout the entire home building process. Their genuine understanding of my vision, their steadfast willingness to take the time to get the design right, and their attention to detail for every aspect of the project were nothing short of remarkable. Every element was curated and crafted with care and intention, from the thoughtful layout to the exquisite finishes. Matt, Brandon, and the team were there when I needed them to help guide my decisions and instill confidence in the choices I made along the way. I always felt respected and like they valued my engagement in the project. As a female, this was really important to me, and one of the reasons I chose them to build my custom home. They made sure I felt safe, comfortable, and supported every step of the way. One thing I truly appreciated throughout this process was how dependable they were. They started on time and stuck to the schedule without any surprises or delays—something that really sets them apart from other home builders in Halifax. The whole experience was smooth and well-organized. They were always available to answer questions or provide updates, even before I needed them. It is clear that quality workmanship, consistency, and client satisfaction are a top priority for them. If you are looking for a custom home builder in the Halifax area who is honest, skilled, and easy to work with, I highly recommend Riva Construction. I am thrilled and delighted with my new home—it turned out exactly how I imagined. I could say more but I think the photos speak for themselves.

The Riva Team made me feel at ease from the start. They updated me weekly about construction progress. They set reasonable deadlines and adhered to them. They used top notch quality building materials and offered me a variety of choices. Each question I had was handled with respect and importance. I felt like Riva really cared about me and the home they were building for me. I would highly recommend Riva to anyone building or renovating.

Riva Construction built an absolutely beautiful Sauna House in our back yard in Spring 2024. The process of building was smooth and any issue that came up was addressed professionally, respectfully, and fairly. One big thing that I believe sets Riva apart is that they do what they say - they started on the exact day we had planned on, and they were there until the project was complete. Their communication was constant and we never felt out of touch. When it comes to the quality of the finished product, see the photos attached to this review. We're very happy to have this great new space, and are thankful that we chose Riva to build it.
