My fiancé hired Taylor Construction to put in new floors and have work done a little over a year ago. They subbed out the work to two guys that took 8 weeks to do a 2-3 week job. They laid $15 sheets of Osb for flooring. I have had to replace the floor as soon as you walk through the door because I personally fell through the floor. You can see where I replaced with the correct flooring in my picture below. We have stepped through the floor in our bedroom. Every bit of flooring that they replaced is so weak you have to tip toe on the floor joist to prevent from falling through. We have reached out to them to resolve the issue but they have found every reason not to fix the mess they made. Every floor in our house that they didn’t touch is perfectly fine and sturdy. This is what $29,000 gets you. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Horrible customer service and horrible work.
We hired this company in February 2024 to put a roof on our outdoor kitchen and build a retaining wall on a steep hill at the side of the house hard for my husband to mow. It was all supposed to be finished by June 2024. They came outdug the trench for the retaining wall started the kitchen. Tore down the fence by the side where the retains wall will go. Breaking the fence. Then in April 2024 they stopped working on the kitchen. They had fill the trench with concrete and posts to build the wall. Then they stopped. Finally In June they build the wall but did not finish after two months of trying to get them back out and finish the kitchen and wall they came back and tore the wall down. Kind of finished the kitchen. Except a chunk of the bricks on the kitchen was chopped out for no reason. Still not fixed. It’s ugly. The top is nice but the posts look bad. And we were told the bricks would be power washed. In September 2024 we complained again and asked to have the fence put back as we have 3 large dogs and my daughter was going to stay with them while we go on vacation and she has a new baby and walking them was out of the question. So they came out and put the fence up but put in further into the yard claiming it’s because they are rebuilding the wall. In October a truck turned up. I thought they were actually cone to finish. Nope they came to take the dirt from the trench they dug up. The dirt we had told them we want to keep to put on the other side of our pool to keep the pool secure. After arguing with them my husband said take some. Well they took most of it and left us not enough to do what we need. I’m sure they were paid for the dirt they took. Since then we have kept contacting the guy they have supposedly working on it with with he ignores us or fobs us of. It’s now March 2025. The mud from the mud wall they left every time it rains runs down into my fenced area and my dogs constantly tracking mud into my house. The trench is full of water from the last storm. The dirt from it up to the house is so wet my feet sank about five inches. And I have a pile of bricks outlet door that was from the wall they built and tore down and next to them is the pile of dirt they left us. I’m heart broken. They destroyed my yard. It’s a nightmare.
Excellent people and service. I had a pipe bust and flood part of my house. I called the office that afternoon and Doug called me that night offering to send someone out. I had them come out the next day. Their team did good work at a reasonable price. Will use again in the future. Thanks!
I had a very long experience with TCR and not in a good way.Editing review 17 Oct 2024 to 3 stars.As Doug has continued to work with me it's become clear he, while sharing some responsibility as the owner, was largely a victim of a bad project manager and sub contractors. Working with Doug's regular people has been great. Doug has done the right thing every step of the way. I would actually consider hiring them again if I worked with Doug directly instead of a project manager.
TCR did an excellent job on our guest bathroom. Check out the before and after pictures. We also used them to tear out old flooring and they went above and beyond when the job turned into a larger project than we all expected. They replaced several joists and added numerous jacks under the house to ensure the floors were level and steady.
