We are extremely impressed with the amazing work the Craft and Trade team did on our bathroom remodel! Trey and Laura were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They offered great design options to choose from and they really nailed the style and look we were going for. If we need any additional renovation work done in the future we will definitely give them a call. 5 stars and highly recommended!

We highly recommend Craft and Trade! Communication was excellent and we worked closely with Laura, Allison, and the whole team to plan and design our dream lake home. They gave great advice, were very patient, and really listened to what we wanted. I can't praise them enough. They're good, honest people. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Are you looking for Lake Norman's own Chip & Joanna Gaines? Because my wife and I were, and we are incredibly luck to have found them!

After years of having a primary bathroom, sitting room, and closet remodel on our "bucket list", we finally decided to put a plan in action, but as two full-time professionals with two little kids at home, we knew that it was finally time for me to relinquish my handman skills and find a team that was capable of completing our image from Start to Finish.
We set out to find a company that valued quality and work ethic in their product, one that was capable of taking us through all stages of remodel, from design, construction, to final polish on details, all while being "respectful" with our budget and having a team that we felt we could share (or embarrass ourselves) with a open line of communication... and boy oh boy did we hit the jackpot!!

The first phone call, the on-site visit, our visit to the design study, and reviewing the various designs and proposals... every step of the way, we felt reassured we were making the right decision with Craft & Trade. Having such pleasant people to talk with, bat around ideas, and their WILLINGNESS to change their plans to ensure our dream vision was pursued, were immediate green flags that we knew we had the right people on our side. Even the renderings provided were spot on to our final vision and the ultimate end product! (Unreal, even looking back now!)

The entire team at Craft & Trade, Trey, Laura, Alison, Jamie, Mike, Doug, and Pete, were nothing short of delight and fun (or even hilarious, at times) to talk and work with throughout our entire project. Whether it was me standing next to Mike & Doug asking them to educate me on framing (I know nothing of the sort), picking tile with Allison, having tight (and rapid) communication and coordination with Jamie, and laughing about the trials and tribulations about life in the trades with Trey and Laura, we always had a great experience. (Even the additional teams called it were a pleasure to talk with, looking at you Gardner Plumbing and the masonry team!)

If you're someone that is worried about navigating or communicating with a builder about your dreams, you don't have to be with Craft & Trade. In fact, watching multiple walk throughs by the team throughout the build was eye-opening to see... their standards for quality far exceeded mine and they would identify and call out the flaws before I could even have a chance to notice them (if ever)! At one point, I had said, "No, that's totally fine by me" to Pete & Trey, and they responded with, "It's not fine by us!"
There was another moment when my wife and I felt like we were going to be awful customers because of a design change we were hesitant to request, after already being corrected... I didn't want to make the call, but before I could get the words out, Laura replied, "Don't worry, I already know... I wouldn't live with it if it were my own house... so I've already contacted out tile company and tile team to make it right. We're just waiting on the tile to arrive." Like come on... talk about professionalism!
I am blown away by their dedication to their quality, consistency, and their dedication to make sure they were true to their word in making our vision, our dream bathroom, come true.

We're absolutely in love with our new bathroom, sitting room, and closet!!
We've recommended Craft & Trade to several friends, who have already had equally beautiful results with the experience we had.

If you're looking to have your dream home built, your dream kitchen, bathroom, covered patio, or your dream "anything", all with the lavish quality and personalities you'd expect of the Lake Norman area, then Craft & Trade is the team for you.

(Oh and price? They came in $100k under the estimates we received from another builder... yes, you read that right. Again... I consider myself to be a lucky man... and while I think I hit the "jackpot" with Craft & Trade, it's truly just them and their skill in knowing how to deliver what the customer wants.)

We can’t say enough about Craft and Trade. Coming from a family of custom builders, and with a career in project management, I’ve been disappointed several experiences with local builders and contractors. Delayed timelines, surprise budget issues, and quality problems described as “within tolerance” seemed to be the norm, until we met Craft and Trade to discuss adding a screened in porch to our home. To say they exceeded all expectations is an understatement; they delivered more than we knew to expect, and we are people who expect a lot when it comes to our home.

From the moment we met Laura and Trey, we knew Craft and Trade was different than other builders in the area. They had a logical process for their projects that they explained on day one. It involved design, costing, sign off, project planning, a project manager to keep us informed along the way…. All easy to understand and follow along. They actually listened to what we wanted (shouldn’t be rare, but it is) and worked to achieve that goal within our budget, were open to sourcing all the materials we wanted, and had great suggestions to create the best possible space for us. We signed off on a gorgeous set of drawings, confirmed dates, and that’s when things got even better.

The Craft and Trade team was simply amazing. Laura and Trey were always available and in contact, and they have an amazing group of people supporting them.

Allison is a talented designer who she brought our ideas to live beautifully, while sourcing gorgeous options for materials and fixtures.

Jamie is a professional and kind project manager who kept us in the loop to everything so we knew what was happening at every step.

Pete. The GOAT GM. Pete kept things running smoothly, made sure we were happy with each piece of construction, and was so honest at every step. He found some structural problems, made sure we understood everything, gave us options for repairs, and made our house better and safer as a result.

The crews who worked on our house were all professional, neat, and impressive with the quality they delivered at each step. Places where corners could’ve been cut were not: framing for decking that would eventually be hidden was joined perfectly, masonry was prepared and installed perfectly, carpentry was top notch and makes everything feel so special.

The most impressive thing was the one time I had to contact them about something that didn’t come out as we’d expected. The beadboard ceiling had just been painted, and the seams were visible in a way I didn’t like. I sent the text, sure I’d hear something about things being “within tolerance” but just the opposite happened. Within 15 minutes Laura and Pete were on site, agreeing with me, telling me to not worry, they’d get it fixed. And then they had it all fixed quickly. A new beadboard ceiling went up, got painted, and the results are perfect.

We absolutely love our new screened in porch. It’s exactly what we’ve been imagining since we first saw this house, and couldn’t be happier.

Craft and Trade has been so great that we added a few things to the scope (custom front door, window boxes for flowers) and introduced them to friends who are also using them now for a kitchen renovation.

Can’t wait to work with them again!

I recently hired Craft and Trade to design and renovate our kitchen and the results are stunning. Laura took time to understand my likes and dislikes and created an amazing design that is not only beautiful but functional. Laura and Allison’s recommendations were spot on and the finished product exceeded my expectations and within my budget. Trey and the construction team are top notch. Professional, friendly, they kept us updated throughout the process. They started and finished on time even when i added a couple of things not in the orginal plan. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident in the final product. We absolutely love our kitchen and receive so many compliments.

If you are considering home renovations, I highly recommend Craft and Trade for their exceptional design skills, quality craftmanship and excellent service. You wont be disappointed.
