Shining Knight Construction

Just finished working with Shining Knight in designing and building our new business location for Prime Golf. I don't think Google will give me enough space to talk about all the good things that came from this partnership, but the short story is that we are so happy and proud of the finished product! I couldn't imagine working with a different crew at this point. Dave and Shane were so pleasant to work with, always taking the time (even when they didn't have any to spare!) to walk us through the plan, work with us on design, and constantly troubleshooting challenges and finding great solutions. Graeme's work as a carpenter is exceptional and his hard work is a great reason the space looks so great! The whole team is truly exceptional. We even got a Christmas gift delivered in person by the thoughtful Danielle! This is a great, local, and family run company that should be top of list for anyone needing contracting and building services. If we're lucky enough, we'll soon be calling them again for our home reno! Thank you, Shiningh Knight!

I can't say enough good things about Shining Knight and I apologize for this being such a belated review. In October 2024 we discovered what we thought was a minor drywall repair turned out to be a massive undertaking. A 24' engineered beam connecting our large sunroom to the house had suffered slow water damage behind the drywall so we weren't aware of it. This resulted in major rot and mold damage extending into the attic. To make a long painful story short, reconstruction involved building temporary support 'walls' in the sunroom to support the roof while the beam was removed and replaced, and part of the sunroom and house roof removed to make this possible. This was very complicated, and Shining Knight had to devise a plan to accomplish it, including construction of a replacement beam that would exactly fit the remaining sunroom support structure. During all this, they also discovered inadequate ventilation of the attic due to the original sunroom company sealing original air vents, and a host of other issues. We got lower estimates but felt confident in Shining Knight's ability to do this properly and professionally. They excelled in all areas. Great ongoing communication, did the job in record time, actually came in under estimate, showed up every day on time, cleaned up at the end of the day, the entire crew was polite, professional and obviously highly skilled. From now on, I won't even call other contractors if we need future projects done, I'll just call Shining Knight. Josh the owner, Dave the project manager and Graeme the foreman were so great to work with, as well as the other workers. I also have to thank Noah of Sturdy Home Repairs and Joel of Central Isle Roofing who put the finishing touches on the final product. You're all the best!!!

We were very pleased with the garage conversion into an art studio done by Shining Knight. It was well organized and the budget was adhered to. The workmanship was very good and communication throughout appreciated. We would definitely recommend this reliable company to anyone considering a reno or project of this type!
