In addition to doing great work, the STILE team was creative, collaborative, reliable, responsive and easy to work with – and they were on-time and on-budget (and you don’t hear that very often).

My wife and I have cultivated a particular style. Elise and Brittany understood it immediately, and got to work. They asked questions, explored options, challenged our thinking and delivered really great solutions. It was a wonderfully collaborative process.

Renovating a condo in downtown Toronto is not easy. Nathan and Wes insisted on proactively connecting with the property manager to introduce themselves, to deliver the requisite insurance credentials and to commit to adhering to the building’s renovation policies. In other words, right from the outset, they set out to establish a positive relationship with the entire condo community by making sure the minimized the disruption inherent in this type of project. And they succeeded in doing so.

Wes effectively managed the project from start to finish, including STILE’s team of great sub-trades. Necessary decisions and unforeseen issues, when they undoubtedly arose, were discussed, assessed, and resolved. Every time an issue was brought to our attention, it was always accompanied by one or more possible solutions.

On the few occasions when we encountered change orders, misunderstandings or disputes, STILE consistently demonstrated integrity, including taking responsibility for any errors or omissions that occurred on their part, and always coming up with a solution that satisfied our needs. Upon completion of the project, we expected to have many little issues and deficiencies. We did not, and the very few we did have, have been resolved thoroughly and promptly.

Our introduction to STILE was rather serendipitous. We recognized that STILE was a growing company, and while we are predisposed to helping young people succeed, we also needed to know that they would be able to meet our desire for unique design solutions, our demand for uncompromisingly high-quality deliverables and our need for pleasant, thorough and trustworthy service delivery – after all, this was a major investment on our part. Upon meeting the STILE team and learning about their story, we were immediately impressed. It was evident that the values the team and their company lived by, were the values that we too held dear.

So, we took a chance on this group of young men and women, and we’re so glad we did. We believe in them, and we encourage anyone looking to renovate or build to learn more about STILE and to discover how they can help you too.

Kirsten Stuart on STILE contracting + design

Working with STILE has been an incredible experience for our family. When our ensuite shower began leaking, we immediately stopped using it and met with STILE to discuss a total ensuite renovation. Elise & the team came to our home on multiple occasions to take a look at the situation. Together, we decided on a design that woud be more functional (e.g. moving a sink further away from the door) for our family. We then met to look at samples (e.g. tiles, counter, hardware, etc.) and a vision board. Construction began promptly and continued as scheduled!

Everyone on the STILE team is personable, kind and easy to get along with. Unlike other companies we have worked with, the STILE team also ensured that all other areas of our home (e.g. stairs, walls, etc.) were protected and that it looked exactly as it did before they came. We appreciated this attention to detail and care for our home very much. They treated our home as if it were theirs. In the end, STILE transformed our bathroom according to plan and with consistent communication throughout the process. We could not be happier with how our ensuite turned out!

I had my kitchen redone, windows replaced, hardwood floors replaced, interior painting and internal electrical, plumbing and small structural work done. All the staff at Stile are wonderful and were a pleasure to have in my home. They were very attentive, timely and kind and Elise did amazing design work, installation went in without a hitch. Additionally, there were a few surprises that came up from past fixes that the previous owner of my house had done, those issues were looked after in their entirety and that was greatly appreciated. A year later we are still very happy with the quality of product and workmanship. We are an active family and the kitchen in particular is well used, the durability of the reno is defiantly showing :)
