Mike and his team did a great job for me! He responded promptly, kept me informed of important details. He was happy to answer questions and explained the process. I highly recommend them. I've asked for a quote on another project.
I highly recommend this company. I hired Mike after my basement flooded. He helped guide and assist us throughout the process and restoration and restored our basement back and better than it's original state. He was very helpful in all the chaos and turned out amazing. Mike always answered my calls and questions no matter the time of day and he had great support and communication. I can't thank him enough. Ill be hiring him again in the future. If you want work done and on time this is the company to call.
Hired Mike and his team to do a backyard renovation for me, they were prompt and professional, was done under budget and ahead of schedule, they rebuilt my entire deck, fence & added a pergola. It completely turned my backyard into an oasis that my family loves and enjoys.Recommend him and I'll be hiring him back in the fall for more work
Hired Mike to renovate our basement - he did an amazing job adding a kitchen and a bathroom to our partially finished basement - his tile work in the bath surround is just supreme! Highly recommend Mike for your future projects
We do not recommend MT contracting. He never gave us references when we asked. He did flood us with pictures of his prior work. We wished we would have reached out on Facebook groups and other platforms to get reviews. As we share our experience, we are meeting others with similar experience. We had to hire a lawyer, as we could not trust Mr. Tomasini. He kept contradicting himself regarding money matters. We in fact didn't allow Mr. Tomasini to finish the job. The bit of his workmanship we did see of his was in our opinion of poor quality. When we asked to show how our $45250 we paid was spent on the project. Mr. Tomasini never produced documentation that substantiated what he was claiming as expenses in a text message. We gave him a deposit of $23750 January 4th. On January 29th we paid $18500 in certified cheque for the rough-in draw. He pleaded that I send him an extra $3000 because his bank held our $18500 certified cheque, this. He was texting us pleading that money was getting tight and needed to give the plumber his deposit and he had given the electrical subcontractor $6000 the day before. On January 31st I sent a EMT of $3000We come to find out February 1st that he didn't pay $10,156.44 to the HVAC subcontractor. The HVAC threatened to put a lien on our house. It was only in March that the HVAC company confirmed he got paid in full and would not be pursuing a lien against our home.In order to prove to us that Mr. Tomasini did pay his subcontractors he provided us his invoice from the electrical subcontractor in the amount $7910 and his March statement showing he only paid $4853 of the $7910.We were led to believe a licensed plumber did all the water lines and drains. We even met a plumber. Turned out that licensed plumber was never hired. Mr. Tomasini and his crew butchered our plumbing. After a month of going back and forth, we had to hire a plumber to redo the plumbing.Mr. Tomasini kept claiming our basement was ready for drywall. It was very obvious to us that the space was not ready for drywall. Coincidentally that was when the next money draw was due. At first Mr. Tomasini said he needs the money for drywall deposit, when I said I would pay them directly. His text messages then came across as desperate.Stating to us that he is just a small business and needs the money to operate. After being off for almost 2 weeks.Mr. Tomasini definitely didn't manage his time or his sub contractors time efficiently causing delays and frustration by the sub contractors. He was horrible at communicating. Mr. Tomasini was very impulsive and did lots of work outside the scope of our contract without discussing it with us prior. Saying he was swayed by his subcontractor or it's was needed. He didn't seem concerned about the impact on his budget. Kept reassuring us that he was not charging us for the unauthorized work he did that was outside of the scope of the contract. We were left with no heat, no water. For 2 months we had a live electrical wire hanging across a door way he was fully aware we our child in the home. The few times he was at our house it was for a few hours then they left. Often saying he would be at our house by 9 am then not show up till 10:30 and often not show up at all. I had a house key outside for them to gain entry to the house. I had to remove it when someone entered our home on a Saturday morning. Let themselves in through our basement walk out door, grabbed something and left.He is very unprofessional. We would get whining text messages after months of money issues and delays. Like the following sent to us by Mr. Tomasini "Honestly I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at this point, because I haven't had any issues on any jobs recently and I'm doing the same thing. I went through some personal issues a few years ago and that's the last time I haven't had positive feedback or a job not gone smoothly."This is only some of the issues we encountered while dealing with Mr. Tomasini. We absolutely do not recommend MT contracting.
