We hired Jorge for our master bedroom/bathroom addition in November 2025. Jorge’s communication from beginning to end was 10/10. This included answering our design questions late at night via text, sending pictures of daily work completed through the project portal, and explaining possible solutions when issues popped up. We appreciated the fact he was consistent with work deliverables, even when we wanted things done a certain way, he made it happen much to our satisfaction. Even with weather and order delays, Jorge and his team of contractors completed our project within an adequate timeframe.

We love how our master bedroom/bathroom came out and would recommend Jorge & CB Remodels to our family and friends!

Our house had smoke and ash intrusion from the Eaton Fire. A lead remediation contractor removed the ceilings in order to access the attic insulation.

We worked with CB Remodels to repair newly exposed termite damage, repair the walls, replace the ceilings, and paint the interior. They stayed on schedule, communicated progress daily, and did great work! CB Remodels promptly corrected any quality issues and missed items. They were also great about working around our schedules with other contractors on the house.

CB Remodels also provided an estimate on their first visit; I didn't have to wait multiple days or remind anyone to send it over.

During the winds/fires of Jan 2025, a palm tree cam down on the front of our house. It caused significant damage to the roof and destroyed an adjacent pergola. We would be able to occupy our home after a tree removal and cleaning but we still would need significant repair. I met Jorge at a volunteer event for our elementary school. He volunteered to use his truck to transport clothes and needed items for families impacted by fires. I mention this because this demonstrates what kind of man he is. He told me what kind of work he did and within days he cam over and gave me an estimate of the work. Jorge and his team started when he said he would start despite a rainy period. He kept me updated on every step of the process. Moreover, he understood the complications of us managing this project with him and navigating an insurance reimbursement. In every instance he was available to respond to an insurance company that was disorganized and misunderstood the project. Our project had some unique specificities because of the age of our home coupled with the Craftsman style. In every case, Jorge and his team provided excellent advice and work. Im glad that our home looks better than it did pre-damage.

Two more things- It may seem small but his team always cleaned up after themselves after every work day. This may seem small, but Jorge knows we have school age children at home and his team was always careful not to leave construction debris within pathways. Additionally, Jorge understood our work schedule. We always wanted to pay him timely. He allowed us to pay by check and was accommodating to come pick up payments in non traditional business hours.

We have had many projects done in the past, we are fortunate that we bumped into Jorge on 1/10/25 while he was helping our community. We have and will recommend him and his team for any project.

This review is long overdue but one I’m happy to write. Jorge (owner) is an upfront and honest person, which was important to us when selecting a contractor. Our neighbors complemented us throughout the project and we’re very thankful we found Jorge and CB Remodels. I recommend CB remodels to all my friends and family. Project details below.
We used CB Remodels for our 2 bed / 1 bath addition back in 2024. We’d been planning this addition for a long time and had some struggles along the way, with the biggest being the design (architectural and engineering drawings). So, if I could recommend one thing, it would be to spend the time to get the design right and to understand what materials are being listed on the drawings. Will save time later. We didn’t use CB Remodels for the drawings, so I can’t speak to that aspect of their service.
In winter of 2024 we reached out to at least 5 contractors, had 4 on-site visits and three actual bids. Jorge was the most clear, thorough and responsive out of all the contractors we met with. His bid had more detail, included more finishing material than the others (i.e., flooring material and windows) and was reasonably priced. We’d worked so long to get to this point that we were eager to move forward and Jorge was able to get started within ~2 months. Note, we live unincorporated LA county and I handled the online permit applications. Jorge helped me when needed and his team handled scheduling of all the inspections.
As with any construction, there are surprises. We lived in an older home that we knew had some water leaks over the years. Naturally there was quite a bit of termite damage that required repair and added some cost to the project. Jorge was quick to quote a change order and perform the work so as not to delay the project.
In addition to the 2b/1b project, we also replaced all the windows, relocated one window and walled in three others, repaired damaged interior drywall, removed an interior wall, replaced the back door, relocated our washer and dryer and ready-stuccoed the whole exterior. It was a lot of work that was quoted ~4 months to finish and passed final inspection after ~6. Much better than our neighbors have faired. There are always going to be challenges and curveballs with a construction project, but we were always able to come a mutual understanding and continue the work without too much headache. We lived in the house for majority of the project too! Not something I’d recommend if you have good options, but something Jorge’s team has experience accommodating.
Couldn’t find any before pictures, but what’s great is that if it weren’t for the mandatory driveway setback you wouldn’t notice the addition at all. Very happy with our expanded home and am grateful for the work Jorge and his team did to make it a reality!

We asked Jorge to replace an old fiberglass shower/bath enclosure. He gave a bid, helped us pick tile and fixtures, and started the work. It’s finished and we are thrilled. We highly recommend this company.
