CMJR helped us repair our roof and stairs after a tree fell on the house. Throughout the whole process they were attentive, helpful and straight forward. They went above and beyond to get our roof repaired before the first snow. Their work was top notch and we feel lucky we found them to take care of our home.
Our chimney collapsed in 2023 due to heavy snowfall. After 2 years of delays, we will forever be grateful that Eric and his team were able to rebuild our chimney in 30 days, and have it ready for the 2025-26 winter storms. CMJR completed an extensive remodel of my Truckee home last year and I'm very pleased with the results. My on-site point of contact, Will, was awesome and never forgot a detail.I waited to write this review for 6 months to see how the house "settled" and how issues were dealt with. I've only had a few minor issues and CMJR was very responsive in honoring the 1 year warranty and addressed all issues in a timely fashion.Quality of workmanship and attention to detail and creative problem solving were excellent. Some of the back office functions like billing detail could use some tightening up, but I always felt like I was working with a honest team and we always found compromise solutions to all the little surprises that inevitably come up on a large project.Construction projects always cost more and take longer that expected (or wished for) .. that just comes with the complexity of building, but CMJR was "on it" the whole way though the end product is a place I'm proud to call home.

From a lot with nothing but boulders, sand and clay, they transformed it into a mountain paradise capable of withstanding the harshest of conditions including a pergola, in-ground pool, backup generator and a pool house. Their ability to combine dramatic design elements with safety and usability is unparalleled. I often hear people complain about their contractors, ‘they don’t show up on time, things drag out too long, they get too many projects going at once, where are they? When will this be done?’ With CMJR, I have no complaints and look forward to many more projects with them.
