Having our deck built by Shanahan Building and Remodeling was a wonderful experience for my wife and I. We had a big project and wanted to find a contractor we felt had our best interests in mind - Chris Shanahan was that guy. Chris helped us through each stage - he sketched a few designs, answered a lot of questions, gave us feedback on materials we were thinking about using, and was nice enough to provide a quote for each configuration we considered (more than one). Chris and his crew were professional every time they came over to work on the deck...they even cleaned up every day...never leaving nails, boards, or trash around. The overall deck experience was so good that my wife and I wanted Chris to install our new window and sliding glass door, which he was happy to do. And, that was another good experience. All in all - we feel like Shanahan Building and Remodeling was worth every penny we spent. We're happy with all the installations they did for us. Shanahan Building and Remodeling is the real deal.

We used Chris to remodel our kitchen. We couldn't be more pleased! He took down a wall and hand built a gorgeous Walnut island with lots of storage. There was an engineering feet involved to support a large piece of granite in a seating portion of the island. He succeeded in spades. I could, and have danced on that overhang. Chris was fantastic during the entire process. His communication with us was great. His crew showed up when he said they would. There was close attention to detail and clean up during the many phases of the project. We highly recommend this great guy and consummate professional.

Chris and Shanahan Building and Remodeling was a true pleasure to work with. Chris provided an accurate estimate for finishing our basement and clear communication throughout the process. He also provided insight and suggestions to prevent us (first time remodeling clients) from making silly mistakes because we didn't know anything about construction. I cannot recommend Chris enough and we will be repeat customers for a new deck and porch trim in the near future.

He is very experienced and knowledgeable with older homes and new builds and permits. He uses quality materials that will last and he is reliable- gets the job done when he says he is going to. Highly recommend!
