Stier Design Build

We had Stier Design Build do a fairly large remodel of our kitchen, living room, foyer, mudroom and powder room. We were interested in a craftsman design. We hadn’t worked with a designer before and Christina listened to everything we had to say upfront and pulled it all together. A lot of effort was put into finding all the right materials once the design was in place and we never felt pressured to settle on something that didn’t make our hearts or Christina’s go pitter patter.

The whole team is great to work with and they all worked extra hard to get things done right. Luke has chosen subcontractors that are up to his high standards and the quality shows. We’re happy we went with them and very pleased with how everything turned out.

From beginning to end, the team at Stier Design Build went above and beyond to turn our lackluster “home office” into a beautiful space that the entire family can use. I cannot speak highly enough of Stier’s in-house design team. While the primary use is a home office, we also asked for space where kids would have easy access to craft supplies and extra workspace as well as a seating solution for our front entryway, which is adjacent to the office. Christina listened to our wish list and put together multiple design options, making our ideas come alive on paper and seamlessly blending this remodeled space with the rest of our home. The entire construction team was very friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. There are many examples of the little “extras” they did each day: interacting with our kids as they headed off to school in the morning, making sure my husband or I always knew what was planned for the day, ensuring things were sealed off while doing demo or drywall work, cleaning up each night and making sure we had easy access to our front door (which was right next to the construction zone), even helping us out by throwing a couple of nails into a door jamb that was loose in another part of our house! One of the biggest things that sets Stier apart from other companies is that they addressed little things they were not 100% satisfied with before we even noticed them. We also appreciated the detailed project management and transparent communication from Luke and Curt. We were always aware of the timeline and what to expect from day to day.
