Alair Savannah took on the project of managing Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc.'s Childcare building. Alair Project Managers keep us informed of the progress and they immediately address any needs or concerns of the project. The building is at about 95% completion and it looks vibrant, safe, and a modern design for the children who will be housed in that building. Cal Rowles, by far, is a great, Project Manager...he gets it done! Jackson Bauer, the Site Ambassador, stays on top of the daily tasks. Thank you Alair !
Alair stood behind their product! We had major electrical issues made by their subcontractor and Cal Rowles stepped in and helped fix all the issues. Also, our individual project manager was quite inexperienced in the field and Cal again stepped in and saw our project to the end.
Building with Cal Rowles and Alair Homes was a true first-class experience. Cal helped us with the initial design process to create our dream home and make it a reality. He walked us through each phase of the project and communicated daily with us to make sure that we were all on the same page. We were very happy with the entire experience from start to finish and would definitely use Alair Homes to build again.- Ross & Carolyn Glendye
We contracted with Alair Homes Savannah to oversee the renovation of our existing 1922 home and to expand the size of our home with a 2-story addition. We liked that Alair assigned to us a group of staff to oversee the process. We met with them at their office to fix budgets, and were impressed with the technology they utilized to oversee the day-to-day progress and work. This allowed us to view on a weekly basis, online, with their project manager software, the progress being made and if there were any slowdowns and to watch costs and billable amounts. Alair also assigned one project manager to work with us daily, and we liked that she was on site early every morning to watch progress. This one- person point of contact made it very easy for us to liaise with Alair and we found Emmy, our project manager, to be very knowledgeable in construction matters, very personable, and available every day to answer our questions. Alair has good relations with each of the subcontractors they employed on our home and we were able to get good quality results from the subcontractors. We were particularly impressed with the work ethic of some of the subcontractors employed. They arrived early by 7:30 AM and stayed late until 7 PM on days to keep to schedules. As with any existing home renovation vs. new construction, there will be items that are hidden until revealed behind walls, ceilings and floors and the Alair team was good about working to resolve these hidden “gems” leftover from the 1920s to bring the home up to code.Possibly due to the Covid pandemic and material supply logistics of obtaining materials from overseas, the home was not finished by the original date due, but ultimately the Alair team did a fine job overseeing the completion of the home.We liked being able to contact Alair and have the team visit us one year after completion to fix items that needed attention. The team was very good about showing up and going through our punch-list, one year after the work had been completed, and still under Alair’s warranty. Alair “went to bat” for us with subcontractor issues and all were satisfactorily resolved. We would enjoy working again with Walter Strong’s team of Cal, Jessica, and Emmy again.
We just completed a major renovation of a traditional house to a one with a mid-century twist. After a comprehensive search to find just the right contractor for this renovation, it was evident that Alair Homes Savannah led by Walter Strong III was up to the challenge. From the beginning of the project, they worked with us to finalize our plans and develop a comprehensive budget. Throughout the project, communication, transparency, quality work, and our satisfaction were their priorities. Cal Rowles, our project manager, met with us weekly to discuss the status of the renovation and to address any questions or concerns we had. Cal worked diligently with the subcontractors; and as a result, the quality of their work was outstanding. We could not be more pleased with our renovation! We highly recommend Alair Homes Savannah.
