It's hard to believe that almost a year has passed since we first discovered a water leak in the deep corner of the guest bedroom closet. A quick inspection under the house revealed a much larger issue: a waterlogged HVAC system, water pooling on top of the protective plastic covering, a wet foundation. Given that it was a Friday night, we promptly reached out to our original plumber. They managed to stop the leak within 24 hours, but we were left with a section of failed Uponor AquaPEX pipe and no plan of what to do next. At that moment, a sense of urgency and light panic set in. We weren't sure of our next steps, but we knew we needed to act quickly, especially with no heat in the midst of winter. I vividly remember sitting in the guest bedroom, surrounded by torn-out walls and a partially ripped carpet, when a thought struck me: “What about Vicki?” (Vicki and Greg built our house back in 2018). Instantly, I felt a wave of relief and sense of hope! Vicki and her team quickly devised a comprehensive plan to ensure our safety. To prevent us from freezing, they delivered over ten space heaters to our home, turning our living room into a maze of cords that resembled a massive spaghetti bowl ??! Thankfully, we had the heat back on within just a few days. Following that, we embarked on the daunting process of filing a claim with Uponor, the maker of the prematurely failed PEX pipe. Vicki and her team managed this process seamlessly. They advocated for us as if it were their own home, their dust and mess, diligently handling the process while we balanced full-time jobs and school commitments. We truly could not have navigated this situation without Suncrest. And here is the bottom line: we got the entire house repiped and were fully reimbursed by Uponor for the project!! A heartfelt thank you to Vicki, Mack, Dan, Mark, and everyone involved in this process. We consider you all our heroes. We couldn't be happier with Suncrest's work finishing our basement and bathroom remodels. Starting with the design process, Vicki/Nisha and team came up with an incredibly creative design to maximize storage while creating a beautiful and efficient layout in our two small bathrooms and basement. We had very few changes during the construction phase of the project, everything went pretty smoothly throughout the remodel. Huge thanks to Dan, Mark and and a great selection of subs. The end product exceeded our expectations.
