Zinn Construction LLC

Three jobs in five years - we will keep coming back! Zinn has completed three major jobs at our house over the last five years - one interior and two exterior. The interior job was a total gut of our master bathroom; one exterior job was a replacement of a twenty five year old redwood double deck out the back of our three story walkout; and the other exterior job was a total replacement of all the dryvit (similar to stucco) in the accent areas of our nearly all brick house. Value - We found Zinn to be competitive in pricing; their contractual work was accurate, fair, easy to follow, and payment scheduling balanced. Timely - All work was done within agreed upon time frames. Positive Communication - Phone calls and text messages (even over the weekend) were returned promptly. Usually we would get messages first before we even thought of a question or in need of a clarification. Craftsmanship - Lots of attention to detail. We had challenges on all three jobs requiring some individuation of the work. No cookie cutter approaches. Engineering - Attention to structural details were addressed consistently and we were given thorough explanations as to why certain construction methods were done. As an example, we inserted a roof between the top and bottom decks during the replacement construction and I noticed the insertion of 45 degree angled support beams. "Why that?" I asked. I received a nice education about reducing the likelihood of shifting decking over the next several decades. The structural detail was covered by a ceiling and I suspect less conscientious construction companies would have omitted that detail and we would have never known the difference - until the deck shifted! So, these guys know what they're doing. Aesthetics - Several times we discussed with Zinn the materials and colors that would work with our house architecture that we otherwise would not have thought about. They were helpful, but not pushy, about aesthetic aspects of the jobs. Tidiness - The jobs were cleaned up - daily - to keep the stress of construction to a minimum for us. Trustworthy - We gave the crews free range to come and go as they wished. Not once, during all three jobs, did we ever have a problem or concern about their respect for our home, our privacy, or the security of any of our household items. So, these guys are good, really good.
