SJC Building & Remodeling LLC

We first worked with SJC 16 years ago to finish a basement at our old house and were blown away by the professionalism, and accountability shown by Steve and his team. We were thrilled to be able to work with them again to renovate the basement of our new house. With today's inflated costs and the shortage and costliness of reliable home improvement/contractor services, it is crucial to find a team you can trust, communicate with, and and rely upon to get a job done well and within agreed upon expectations. Steve does all that and more. He hires only the best workers and subcontracts with the best quality trades people. He oversees absolutely every detail to ensure it meets his extremely high standards. He triple checks everyone's work to ensure the safety, longevity, and aesthetic excellence of the finished product. His prices are very fair, especially for this level of craftsmanship and expertise. We're thrilled with our basement, which he patiently worked with us to envision and realize within a reasonable budget, and grateful for his diligence in addressing every issue that arose, as they always do with renovations, in a manner that respected our budgetary limits without compromising quality and safety. Cannot recommend more highly. They are the best.

I’ve been a builder and developer for the last thirty five years. Steve is one of best contractors I’ve worked with. Steve worked as the general contractor on a historic building I bought in Hanover Square in Syracuse. His attention to detail, calm manner, and problem solving abilities made what might have been a difficult project a pleasure. Good builders attract good employees and sub contractors, and everyone on the job was diligent, thoughtful, and engaged. I can’t recommend SJC Construction highly enough.

Finding a reliable contractor can be challenging, but working with SJC Remodeling was a refreshing experience. Steve, the owner, is exceptionally honest and trustworthy, truly caring about his work and his clients. From our first meeting, it was clear that Steve is dedicated to delivering high-quality results and maintaining open communication. His team is professional, punctual, and remarkably clean, ensuring that every detail is handled with care. Steve's expertise and genuine interest in meeting our needs made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. He took the time to understand our vision, answered all our questions, and offered valuable suggestions to enhance our project without unnecessary costs. The finished product exceeded our expectations, and even years later, we are still thrilled with the results. SJC Remodeling is a rare gem in the industry, and we highly recommend Steve and his team to anyone looking for a contractor who goes above and beyond. You won't be disappointed!

We were referred to Steve and SJC Remodeling from a friend. Steve has a great team of people who have been together for years. We wanted a to add a den/addition to our home, and Steve was there from the idea stage through completion, every step along the way. He shows up everyday and works along with his crew. He’s a student of his trade and wants to give the best and the latest to his customers. No shortcuts. He listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions along the way which we greatly needed and appreciated. He truly went above and beyond and the addition looks amazing and like it’s always been there! Seamless transition on the inside and outside. Our home has never looked better. No high pressure sales tactics from Steve as he’s very straight forward and honest. A true custom builder. He and his team are so respectful, clean up every day and felt like part of the family during the process. Big projects or smaller jobs like ours… We highly recommend Steve and SJC…you won’t be disappointed! Jeff & Meg from Cicero

Finished our basement in 2017. Steve (owner) helped us determine exactly how we should finish the space to meet our needs and wishes. He answered all of our questions before, during and after the project. The crew was professional and VERY clean throughout the entire process. 6 years later and we still love the space and have never regretted choosing SJC Remodeling.
